Reviews
I went for dinner over the weekend, and the whole experience was underwhelming. The restaurant was pretty empty, and the vibe was off — the music sounded like a CD stuck on repeat. There only seemed to be one waiter working, which showed in how slow everything was. We arrived around 8:15 p.m., and food didn’t start coming out until after 9:15. Dishes came out one at a time, which was strange, especially since my friend and I ordered the same thing — our plates arrived about 25 minutes apart. They also ran out of Caesar salad.
Now for the food:
• Mac and Cheese: 0/10 — completely undercooked. The cheese wasn’t melted, and it literally tasted unfinished.
• Brussels Sprouts: 0/10 — no flavor at all.
• Salmon Bites: 6/10 — these were actually decent, probably the best thing we ordered.
• Crab Cake Egg Rolls: The crab itself was good, but the egg rolls were overcooked, tiny, and definitely not worth the $12 price tag.
Honey old bay wings, 5/10 just taste like wings no old bay flavor
The drinks were just okay — nothing special, and after the meal we barely wanted to finish them. Honestly, by the end, we just wanted to leave.
Overall, between the slow service, uneven pacing, and low-quality food, I wouldn’t recommend this spot. It’s a shame because the sister brand, Proper Cuisine, clearly isn’t delivering the same standard anymore. Definitely won’t be back.
Being that Baltimore is know for its crabcakes I had to try them..And I must say the Food here was Absolutely Delicious…I had the carb cakes and jerk lamb chops..Only thing is my food wasnt hot when I received it…But other than that Chefs Kiss! The atmosphere was nice and cozy…And the decor dope..Music and Playlist was top tier…I 100% recommend this restaurant!!!
The atmosphere was a vibe. Nice & modern decor. Great music selection. Food and service were also great. Server was attentive & nice.
I’m keeping this one on my list of places to go.
Overall, I was pleased with my experience.
Update: I’ve drove here just for the crab cake egg rolls.
Jerk lamb chops: 10/10 cooked perfectly. Nice char. Sauce was very good.
Mac and cheese: 8.5/10 pretty good in regards to a restaurant.
Creamed spinach: 6/10 good flavor but not as thick as I’m used to. It was more like the spinach was drowning and Cajun cream. I couldn’t get over the texture.
Happy hour Hennessy drink: 7/10 good but a little too sweet for my palette
Old fashioned: 7/10
FOOD: So flavorful and delicious! The honey glaze salmon bites, the crab ball fries, the stuffed lobster and stuffed salmon ssssssooooo good! We would order all those items again hands down. The Mac n cheese, asparagus, cream spinach are order again worthy too. The brussels could’ve used a little more glaze.
VIBE: My husband and I dressed casual but there were ppl dressed in street wear. Then there were customers celebrating bdays. So go as you feel. The music was a great mix of 90s and early 2000s hip hop and r&b, so it was a nice vibe. We went on a Friday afternoon around 6:15 and made reservations about 30 minutes prior and were seated immediately. But there was no line or wait anyway.
We’ll definitely go back!!
