We ate here at Sweet Chilango for the first time today. Jonathan was very helpful with the Kiosk & assisted us in placing our order. My steak enchiladas & hubby’s plato were tasty and the margaritas were excellent! Jonathan took good care of us, stopping by several times to check on us. He also brought my husband an extra taco.

Mexico City food. Not the common Mexican food. Super elevated flavors. The music is instrumental, not intrusive &fantastic, somewhat loud but I don’t care
Saul the server/bartender has all the answers. Super guy!
Great food, city vibe. Wheaton is part of the food scene now. Get down here now!

Taste was great. Beans, rice, enchiladas, tacos, and our fave meats were birria and carnitas. Everything came out quickly and hot. Presentation was beautiful. We sat at a high top and it was a beautiful day. I think the prices are a bit high, but I guess that’s normal these days?

Excellent food. We visited them twice and tried their enchiladas with shrimps (camaron diabla), pork in adobo sauce, and braised beef. Their corn tortillas are made at the restaurant and are soft and tasty. Sides of guacamole, esquites and chips provided an exciting experience. Service was professional and friendly. Price was reasonable.

I’m sure that many locals were concerned when Sweet Chilango announced that it would be rebranding to Bien Trucha. Rest assured that there was absolutely no dropoff in the quality of the food or the experience.
I ordered 2 Bien Trucha tacos and 2 birria tacos (yes, they added birria tacos to the Wheaton menu even though they don’t appear to have been on the Geneva menu). The birria tacos were every bit as flavorful and featured the same slow burning spiciness of the old restaurant. The Bien Trucha tacos were also extremely tasty and worth trying for the serrano salsa alone. All were well worth the price at $5 per taco; they are small but they are loaded (there was too much meat to even close them properly) and they pack a heavy punch of flavor.
The service was excellent. Lorena was very accommodating and was well ahead of everything I might have needed or asked for. It’s hard to believe that full sit-down service is a new feature here because the staff is already very good at it.
This was a great experience and well worth the $20 spent. If you liked Sweet Chilango, I implore you to try Bien Trucha. I expect you will be equally satisfied.

My husband and I just tried out this downtown Wheaton restaurant and absolutely loved it! Super cool vibe with great music and atmosphere. Our server, Ricky, was fantastic. He was so friendly and helped us out with menu selections – Thanks Ricky!! We started off with the daily special guacamole which was great! We then had the bien trucha and the pastor tacos – super fresh and delicious. Wow the flavors! We look forward to returning to try all the other options. Hats off to the entire staff, great new place for us to enjoy!

Absolutely delicious food! Our server Jose was so friendly and helpful, made the experience great! The La Guayaba cocktail and beef and pork bowls were so flavorful, I loved them! The bowls were huge and plenty to take for leftovers and tasted very authentic. Highly recommend Bien Trucha in Wheaton, we will be back!

I ordered the birria tacos and Mexican coke. Overall was great, more on the pricey side for the amount of tacos you get. I wish there was consume to dip the birria tacos with but it was fine.

Came here with some family to meet up before checking out a speakeasy in the area and it was a fantastic start to the night. I’ve seen a lot of griping from people that they had hoped this spot was more in line with the other restaurants under the Bien Trucha banner but I feel like they did a decent job of setting expectations while letting people know this was going to be a different experience so I wasn’t thrown by the new concept.
I enjoyed the feel of the place and the ambiance. Felt like a chill bar spot I would have no problem hanging out in while in Wheaton with the obvious added bonus of delicious, affordable Mexican fare that doesn’t sacrifice quality.
I ordered some tasty shrimp tacos with great seasoning and handmade tortillas. They were topped with what was definitely the best guacamole I’ve tasted from a fast casual spot. Others at the table tried several different types of tacos as well as enchiladas and everything looked really appetizing. We also sampled a number of their draft cocktails which all tasted wonderful.
Sweetchilango can definitely hit the spot if you’re looking for an elevated fast casual expierence.
