GPI LOS TACOS is owned and operated by Chef Jorge Miranda born in Acapulco Mexico; He inherited his love for the cooking from his mom. His mom use to sell “choco milks” and pancakes for breakfast and dinner plates at night, Jorge was always by her side helping and learning the culinary art. Then in his teen years he moved to Houston TX, where he got his first of many jobs in the kitchen at Cafe Noche, He also worked for LaStrada; Tony’s Boloney, EatZi’s, Kroger of West University, Perry’s, Central Market,Fleming’s, Strip Steak House, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, Rustic uptown and Rustic Downtown. Then he decided that it was time to do what he loves the most, cooking and interact with people in his own business.

GPI LoS Tacos delivered one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Our chef, Jorge, didn’t just cook for us, he crafted the whole experience. The barbacoa tacos were tender and packed with flavor, and he even threw in a couple of birria tacos with consommé as a bonus just so we could taste more of what he does. That alone says everything about his pride and generosity.
What really set it apart was his creativity. He brought out a homemade espresso coffee sauce to balance his fiery red sauce, and the combo hit perfectly. That’s the kind of detail you only get from someone who cooks with real passion.
Hearing him talk about learning to cook from his mother tied it all together. You can taste that heritage in every bite. Jorge isn’t just a chef, he’s an artist, and this place deserves every bit of five stars.

WOW why am I just learning about this place!??? That expresso hot sauce is unbelievable! All of the food was so good I was very impressed. I can tell he takes pride in his food the quality is phenomenal. This place is definitely quality over quantity.

Awesome tacos, coupled with an equally awesome Taquero. I realized I started eating before I took the photos. These were hands down some of the most perfectly cooked tripas I have ever had. The gentleman behind the glass was outstanding and makes you feel like your Tio is cooking up some tacos for you. He very personable and inviting. If you’re in the area, stop by. This is the real deal.
