Had the tuna tartare and lasagna it was delicious. Wine available was good and but pricey but that’s nothing unusual in this area. If you want cheaper drinks then drink beer and cocktails.
After nearly two weeks of Mexican food I really did enjoy the Italian variation. The staff are well trained, attentive and overall the service was excellent. The Mexican sangria was excellent.
The service was impeccable, and the view from the patio was perfect for a bit of people-watching.
We ordered the gnocchi 4 formaggi (the staff kindly split it onto two plates for us to share) and a Margherita pizza—both were amazing. The pizza was so light and flavorful; we didn’t think we could finish a whole one plus the pasta, but we happily did.
As a bonus, we even got to enjoy some lively street performances while we ate. Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The downside about that is that you’re bombarded with people who are constantly trying to sell you something while you’re trying to enjoy your meal. We understand they’re trying to make a living but it’s a little overwhelming at times, I hate saying No to the kids.
(Carbonara was genuinely perfect )
Suggestion for next customers: consider where you choose your table, because if you stay on the street side, you’ll get approached (disturbed?) by several loud artists
First of all Luis!!! Without a doubt, the best waiter we have ever had, not just in Mexico but anywhere in the world. If you get Luis, you are truly lucky. He guided us through the menu with genuine care, warmth, and friendliness. He helped us choose the most delicious dishes, including the perfect dessert and drinks and you could truly feel that he wanted us to be happy and enjoy every moment of our meal.
And the food? Absolutely outstanding.
We had the Margherita pizza, the four-cheese gnocchi, and the tiramisu and every single dish was absolutely perfect. The pizza was fresh and flavorful, the gnocchi was rich and incredibly comforting, and the tiramisu was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing dinner.
This is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Playa del Carmen, and easily one of the best restaurants we’ve ever eaten at worldwide. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served at a very high standard.
It was a complete experience incredible food, exceptional service, and a wonderful atmosphere.
When we come back to Playa, we will definitely return and we will absolutely ask for Luis again ❤️
Our servers were very friendly and attentive. There’s a wide array of things on their menu. What caught our eye was their brick oven pizza. We ordered a few drinks, the tequila sunrise and mojito was good. However, the sangria was not good. It tasted like watered down wine. The pizza was pretty and tasty but dry. It reminded us of basic flat bread. A little pricey for what we ate.
Nonetheless, a nice restaurant.
