I came in today, Sunday November 9, and the service I received was very disappointing. I asked the person helping me to please remove some of the grease from the barbacoa because when I get home it usually turns into caldo. Instead of helping, the person was rude and said, “I can put you more but I am not going to do that, I don’t have time.” That response was unnecessary and disrespectful.
Then I ordered chicken tamales. I was given an open package, so I asked to please switch it for one that was sealed. Again, the attitude was very rude. When I got home, I realized they gave me pork tamales, not chicken. This is the second time I have had a negative experience with the same person. I do not know what happened to the staff that used to work here, because the customer service used to be good.
I do not think I will be coming back to this location anymore. The attitude and mistakes are too much, especially when I am paying for my food. I hope management takes this seriously.

Love this place for lazy Sundays when we don’t want to make breakfast. Have only been here a few times but will continue. They have both lean and fatty barbacoa along with other options such as tamales, tacos, beans, etc.
I strictly come here for the barbacoa. The fatty choice can be a little too moist and mushy. I opt to go for a 50/50 mix of lean and fatty. The combo #2 comes with corn tortillas, cilantro, salsa and 2 drinks for $16. I highly recommend adding some pico de gallo on the side and hope you have some avocado at home.
Everyone has been super nice and friendly here.

Barbacoa here was delicious! It’s hard to find good barbacoa! I got the all meat and the salt was on point! No need to add any. Has flavor and what better than to eat it with some corn tortillas,salsa,onions and cilantro! Got home about 15 minutes later and food was still warm and ready to eat

Absolutely fantastic corn tortillas and barbacoa. You can request all meat barbacoa which has very little fat compared to other places. I’ll definitely be back here!

Absolutely terrible! I walked in and waited for several minutes before someone assisted me. There were no other customers there. The menudo was disgusting. The meat was burnt, it was heavily seasoned with oregano, and it was cold. I took one bite and threw it away. I will stay clear of this place from now on.

Fantastic!!!! not sure how this place wasn’t packed on a Friday morning. stopped in on my way back to the office and got the barbacoa tacos. flavor of the barbacoa is excellent, corn tortillas have a great taste and are soft and thick. green salsa, not needed with the seasoning the meat has but i did anyway. wonderful flavor and works great with the meat just enough heat to let you feel it.

Highly recommend coming here for delicious ALL MEAT barbacoa. Finding ALL MEAT barbacoa on our side of San Antonio is like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Well we definitely found our barbacoa pot of gold. The meat was moist and flavorful but not saturated in grease. Even though the corn tortillas are machine produced they are just as tasty as homemade ones. Definitely will return to Tortilleria TORTIRICA for our fix every time!
