I really liked this place! Breakfast sandwich was fabulous! Delicious! Chai was just ok. It’s one of the only coffee shops that don’t have the “tip” option which I hate. Good experience! Would come back.

Today was my first experience here and I’ll definitely be back!
Here’s the rundown…the atmosphere feels stark and no frills, but comfortable enough. Service was moderately friendly, so that’s good, but service was on the slow side and I was in a time crunch, so if you’re not, it’s not a big deal. Now, for the food… the bacon breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun!!! I make very delicious breakfast sandwiches at home and this is a contender with mine. It was absolutely delicious!!! Everything you could want in a breakfast sandwich. I’ve been really into micro greens lately and this sandwich has a nice sprinkling of micro greens. It has a perfectly fried egg, red onion, tomato and a nice sauce along with the aforementioned bacon and micro greens. Just fabulous!!
I got iced Jasmine tea. It was very floral. Maybe just a little too intense, but I was really thirsty, so I drank it all. It would’ve been better with some sugar added.
The breakfast sandwich is worth going on repeat. Enjoy!

The coffee is good, glad to see they have non-disposible mugs here (if you ask for it). Unfortunately, the music was too upbeat and too loud when I was there. I had a hard time focusing on reading my book.

Excellent coffee near campus. I’ve been coming to Valentia for years – it’s one of my favorite spots. I love the mocha, homemade chai, and the breakfast sandwich! Also recommend the pastries.
It’s a great place to catch up with a friend, study, or have breakfast with a visiting professor. Highly recommend!

Stopped here with my girlfriend for coffee Friday morning around 9 a.m. to start our date day.
The place was super packed. We had to wait for a table to open up.
I ordered a nitro cold brew but the nitro machine was down. So I went with an iced coffee instead. My iced coffee came black so I had to go back up and ask for cream.
I enjoyed how bright the place was, and all the windows made for a nice experience. It was hard to carry on a conversation here though with how close the tables were and how busy the place was.

It would’ve been nice if they’d explained to me that the Gibraltar was that much in size for a drink like the cup felt empty. So I said to the young lady with the gray sweater, glasses and no hairnet on could I swap it out for a different coffee same price so I went with the batch brew. Instead of her meeting my needs as I am the customer she caught an attitude and questioned whether the cashier explained to me how the Gibraltar works or not rolled her eyes and so the young man next to her took care of it for me no problem no attitude. As a citizen that was raised here in Madison 20 plus years I didn’t feel welcomed or that I belonged there the moment I walked in and this was my first visit/ experience. By the way I am colored

In town for the Crossfit Games and always looking for a local coffee place. College town coffee shop so you’ll find students working on their laptops as they sip liquid support.
Clean and open environment with plenty of space.
I tried the Miel (cinnamon & honey) good strong coffee taste not a sweet drink at all if your the kind of person that enjoys a little coffee with your sweetness. I do tast the cinnamon but the honey flavor is lost in mine. Husband had the same drink and can definitely taste the sweetness of the honey. So a little inconvenience. Friendly staff. Would definitely visit again.

I absolutely love Valentia Coffee- not only for the fresh and local menu, the quality drinks, and the clean and welcoming atmosphere, but for the friendly staff, manager, and owner as well. Every time I get a cute personalized drawing or note on my coffee cup it makes my day. The mural inside the shop is a great spot for photos. It goes without saying that the Valentia family loves what they do, and every visit reminds me why it is my go-to for coffee and a quick healthy breakfast in madison 🙂
