P. Terry’s Austin original all naturally sourced ingredients make for real food that’s done right. Therefore t tastes right and leaves you feeling right. there’s always friendly people working, The different and eclectic atmospheres at each location make it unique, and I dig their music selection. As In ‘n Out is to Los Angeles, so is P. Terry’s to Austin.

We had a late evening hunger craving arriving back into town. Decided to stop by a P Terry dine-in location on the way home. It was pretty darn good. Cheeseburger on a lettuce leaf bun, and fries. Both were delicious, made to order. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the fries were piping spot. A definite 4-star performance on this visit!

If I could give a Half of a Star I would. I was just at this location at 4:39PM and the bad service started right from the start. First, I guy who took my order didn’t even say Hi, Welcome or can I take your order. It was cold and nothing. I ordered a Number with Jalapeno, and dine in. I got my cup and waited, and waited. 18 Minutes later I had to go up to the counter to find out what was the delay. I also noticed, I was not the only one that had issues on the delay. Now, I know you have Drive Thru. But you still have to pay attention to Dine In customers also. Finally, after watching these guys try to figure out the orders, they had me a bag like I was a take out. Now, on the receipt it clearly says *DINE IN*. I said that to him and he was like, Oh. He went back and put it on a tray. Ok, I sit down and take a bit and quickly I realize this is NOT my order. It was Double with Cheese, with NO Jalapeno. Considering how long it took to get my original order, why should I say anything. It would’ve just taken longer. This is why I’m going to say this. I will NEVER go to another P Terry’s Again. Bad Service and they screwed up a simple order. I can only wondering how many other things are screwed up there.

And before you mention about providing feedback with the QR code at the bottom of the receipt. I did that and Gage responded with the following, “I’m Truly sorry to hear about your recent experience with us. It’s disappointing to know your order was delayed and incorrect. We appreciate your feedback and will work to improve our service. Any way we can make this right for you?”

This seemed a little to cookie cutter to me. That is a little to concerning. Because this tells me that it bad reviews are happening more than you should have. My question is now, how many other customers who have bad experience with PTerry’s don’t even respond. They Just walk away and say nothing. That should be more of a concern.

It was my first time trying the place. I had a cheeseburger, fries and the cookie. The cheeseburger was good and filling – a great portion size. I liked the shoe string fries but they were a tad greasy. My favorite was the cookie. It was great to get a full meal under $10. Affordable prices.

I’d like to start by saying how much we love P Terry’s and my family has enjoyed for over 10 years. My kids have grown up coming here and now are a part of the teenage crowd that comes over for a Westwood.
Unfortunately, we experienced an episode with a very angry gentleman, working the outside order taking on Friday night. After taking the order, I had asked for it to be repeated, but he didn’t hear me, and when he approached the vehicle I had asked for the order to be repeated since I wanted to make sure I said everything correctly because I wasn’t quite sure.
This employee did not appreciate what I was asking and seemed frustrated immediately with the question. I repeated what I asked and said I’m sorry, but I was trying to ask the person that I was talking to through the intercom and I think they didn’t hear me. He said immediately that was him And he would need to go back to the front now to get that order repeated. I said OK then go ahead because I want to make sure. Immediately he was angered and frustrated and ran off without taking my card. When I got out to give him my card, he yelled back at me that I wasn’t allowed in that area and I got back in my vehicle. When I pulled up to get my food, he became immediately became aggressive with a manager nearby and I told him to calm down, he then begin threatening to fight me and take me out of my vehicle. The manager on duty had to physically hold him back before he physically assaulted me in the vehicle. I stayed there and got my food eventually and then called the police. I will be filing charges for assault by threat and have a case number with the Austin Police Department. This young man threw obscenities and threats in front of children and vehicles waiting in line that was completely unacceptable in any place much less a fast food hamburger place that we once loved so much.
Unfortunately, P Terry’s has falling far from Grace and I don’t believe we will be coming there anymore and will share the story with aa many people possible.
In the meantime… The young man who lost his temper, so much that he wanted to fight a customer in line and pull him out of the vehicle, probably needs help that the court system may be able to provide.

P. Terry’s at 183 and Lake Creek is a reliable spot for a quick bite. The food is decent, and the quality is consistently the same every time I go, which I appreciate. Just a heads up that around school hours, there tend to be a lot of high school kids hanging around inside, so it can get a little loud and busy. Other than that, it is a solid, dependable place for a burger and fries.

This location gave me some nasty food today at 10:30. It was old. The bacon was super chewy when it should be crispy. The potatoes were old and cold and not properly salted. I normally take a complaint like this directly to the owners or GM through a website, but P Terry’s ignores all communications. Here’s a pic of the bacon I spit out.
