My father and I came here for the first time, we had a warm welcoming and they were able to seat us as they opened at 3. The food is amazing, everything we had was a joy to eat and the atmosphere was lovely. Our server was awesome too and very knowledgeable. 11/10 definitely recommend!

Celebrate my wife’s birthday here the other day. Food was delicious. We started with the plantain croquettes. The mole sauce was good, but I prefer traditional croquettes. I had the NY strip streak and my wife had the 8 oz tenderloin. Both were cooked to our liking and tasted great. Service was very good too. The dining room was smaller than I expected and it was a little loud too.

Best breakfast burrito I have ever had! The smoked Gouda hash browns were also phenomenal. Great staff and atmosphere. It’s so great to have an elevated dining experience like what I’ve seen in bigger cities here in West Fargo! Don’t sleep on this one! Our server was so kind and the side pancake we got for our toddler were also phenomenal

Visited for an impromptu date night.
Always a pleasure to be greeted by Ramon’s signature smile and welcome.
We were seated quickly and our server, Hunter was quick to visit our table with waters and get our drink orders.
We decided to try the gouda beer cheese soup as a starter. It was creamy and delicious, loved the addition of the popcorn!
We each ordered a different entree so we could try two.
I had the Grilled Tenderloin with garlic potatoes and smoked asparagus. Steak was served medium rare and the vegetables were perfectly cooked.
My husband had the Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese with cherry wood bacon. He added the grilled chicken as an extra protein. The portion sizes were generous and the meals were awesome and the pricing was on par with what i would expect at any steakhouse in Fargo.
There were plenty of other items we were interested in trying, but we’re far too full to try, so we will definitely return for future visits.

First time patron. Greeted at the door as the first customers of the day. They open at 3pm and we were waiting at the door. Seated promptly on the patio as we requested. We checked the patio out first as it was a little breezy but the patio was sheltered and very comfortable. Server explained that this was about the fourth week since opening. She also was quite knowledgeable about the food choices and gave her opinion when we asked. It appears that she has at least tasted most of the menu items. The four of us chose from the menu and none of us were disappointed. She had described the chili mango chicken on a bed of mashed potatoes with asparagus spears as having a bit of a bite with a smooth mango sweetness. Describes it beautifully. One of my table mates ordered the flatbread and loved it. Only a small suggestion would be to slice it a bit or provide a sharp knife as it was a little difficult to slice with the butter knife. The crosaint chicken salad was perfection. The salad as you can see from the picture was presented well as were all the entrees. So nice to have a newer upscale but also relaxing restaurant in the west fargo “lights” area.

Our mains (Farmers Market Salad and Smoke Salmon Entree) were delicious! We tried the truffle fries and wish they would have been cooked longer they came soggy and a bit cold — the truffle sauce was excellent. The smoke Gouda and beer cheese soup left me disappointed as it reminded me of gravy vs a savory soup. Overall, the service was QUICK and efficient. Will definitely go back!

We were really looking forward to trying Smoke & Iron. This was our first date night without kids since July, so we were excited for a nice dinner at a new restaurant followed by a movie.
We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation last night (1/31) and were seated right away at a lovely two-person table by the window. I truly felt it was the best spot in the restaurant. The hostess was friendly and brought us waters immediately, which made for a great first impression.
About 10 minutes later, our server came by, quickly told us the two specials, and then walked away before we could place our order. It felt a little odd, but we assumed he’d be right back. Unfortunately, another 20 minutes passed and he never returned. Our menus were still on the table, our waters more than half gone, and no check-in at all.
At that point, we only had about an hour left before needing to leave for our movie, so we decided to head out rather than rush a meal. It was a disappointing first experience, especially given how excited we were.
I hope to come back someday and try the food, because the atmosphere and initial seating were wonderful, but this visit definitely left a disappointing taste.
