Very surprised by how good the food and the service was! I usually don’t have much hope for chains but this was actually really good!!
The wings were delicious, 100% recommended
Salad was ok, and the burger looked amazing but I didn’t got to try it.

If it weren’t for the manager Hayley they’d be getting 1 star and would be thanking me for that. She is an absolute star and is wayyy too good and overqualified for this Applebee’s ripoff. We had an infant with us needing a high chair so naturally we were sat at a 5′ tall high top with steel piping in the bar area underneath an unclosable AC vent blasting cold air directly on our heads at 8 pm in 40 degree December. Michael our waiter came over literally 30 seconds after we were seated asking if we were ready to order then disappeared for 10 mins after which time we were asked to be reseated. New table had no coat hooks and a broken stool sat next to the drafty garage door. Michael then disappeared after reseating us, only saw him when the other waitress in the section brought our food out for him. He came over and reprimanded her, snatched the dishes out of her hand, and put them down only to disappear again. I ordered a drink that never came and our water was never refilled. They serve sushi but every roll had cream cheese, fake crab, fried, or drenched in 5 sauces so I asked for a chirashi bowl or mixed sashimi, literally some sliced fish over some rice. The equivalent of ordering buttered noodles. Head waiter came over and said sorry we can’t make that, we don’t serve sliced fish over rice. If you want that, you’ll have to order the sliced fish individually and a bowl of rice separately or a poke bowl with 86 ingredients…so I got the poké bowl which had grey spoilage streaks resembling canned salmon, but looking like no actual salmon I’ve ever caught. It was literally inedible. Second time in my life I’ve sent a dish back. After 20 mins with nothing to drink, I thankfully found Hayley who took over as our server and comp’d my drink for the horrendous service (lovely gesture, esp because it was absolutely disgusting and left 7/8 of it. The Ginger Snap is NOT to be tried). Not only did she provide excellent service and remedied our issues, she brought my daughter a stuffed penguin and candy canes as a make-nice and to cheer her up, officially making our night. Hayley, you deserve better my dear! I went to use the toilet and both stalls hadn’t been cleaned. One seat had solid and liquid waste on it while the other had diarrhea streaks in the bowl. Urine on the floor, dip in the urinal, dried spit/loogies in the sink, trash can overflowing. Came out to find Michael flirting with some waitress right inside the kitchen by the pass…next time we’ll go to one of the steakhouses…

A friend and l went there for lunch a day before Valentines Day and tried their Crab Ragoon Roll which was delicious. Today l ordered the same dish, l received the take out order they were overcooked and just broken into piece in the container they were placed in. So, l asked them to redo the order because the ones received all 3 ordered were overcooked and dry looking. They redid the order and they were cooked to temperature, but this time around there was too much rice in the roll, the crab didn’t have enough cream or non at all from which they use to make the crab ragoons. The balance or the filling and rice were uneven. To spend nearly 50 dollars on crab ragoon rolls is ridiculous not to turn out right. It’s a no for me. I’m not sure if its a different cook or not the rolls did not taste the same way as the first time and presentation wasn’t there. I don’t know if it was a difference between take out vs. dine in. The first pic is the second order with little to none crab ragoon. The second is the overcooked one. I would like refund for wasting my time and money on this mess. This would be my second time visiting the restaurant and l won’t be coming again.

We love coming to Drake’s for Brunch. It’s only available on Saturday and Sundays, 11am to 4pm.
Today we decided to eat at the Paddock location since we were in that neighborhood. There was no wait and we were taken to the second dining room. We were there for just a few minutes before Christian came to our table to ask what we would like to drink. We ordered our Ice Teas and then Christian saw that we were ready to order our 2 favorite Brunch items at Drakes. Our favorites are the Breakfast Burrito and the Breakfast Quesadilla. The Burrito is filled with scrambled eggs, chicken tenders, tater tots & cheddar-jack cheese wrapped in a jumbo flour tortilla; served w/ fire-roasted salsa & sour cream. I just love them. The Breakfast Quesadilla is loaded with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar-jack cheese and smashed potato puffs enclosed in a jumbo flour tortilla. Soon Christian was back at our table with our entrees. They look so delicious that you can’t wait to get that first bite. Christian stayed for a second to tell us how much he loves the Breakfast Burritos. He likes it best of all because it has the chicken in it. He was then off to take care of 2-4 more tables. He was just so funny, had a great personality, and was very professional. He checked back very often and was always smiling. He brought back tea refills, and then a cup to go. There was so much deliciousness in these 2 breakfast items, but we got full and had to take some of it home.
I told him that we would really hope to have him again, and he said to ask for him. He did a fantastic job!

I have never had such an amazing customer service experience at any restaurant besides this particular Drake’s. We ordered the fish basket and the poke bowl and the portions were amazing and the food was superb but our sever was what really made our night. Christian was outstanding in every aspect. We were 3 families with kids and as you can imagine, it’s difficult to eat out with such a large group. Christian was not only so accommodating with every person, he made sure we had the best meal possible. I even left a shopping bag at my table and when I realized, I turned back and saw Christian chasing after us to make sure I get it back. I have never in my life seen such amazing service at an establishment until today. He absolutely deserves a raise for his phenomenal service. I will for sure bring my friends back to this particular Drake’s.

Food was okay. Burger flavor and size was great but the reason why I gave them four stars was because it was insanely greasy. Dripping grease. Which isn’t really a sign of a good burger imo. But if it wasn’t soaked in grease it would have been five stars. Bartenders are always nice, but drinks are overpriced compared to other local bars.

Hope was our server, prompt & friendly service, made great recommendations. Food was yummy! Def try the Buffalo Chicken Dip appetizer, and for sushi, the Midori roll was so good – super fresh and great flavors. The only bummer was the Southern fried chicken sandwich, a bit dry and lacking sauce to add some extra moisture and flavor. Fries were good, like the seasoning.

Met a friend from out of town for a late dinner. We decided on Drake’s as they were open late, even for a Monday. Service was near instant, the beer was quite refreshing. I recommend Drake’s All American Lager. The burgers we great. Though, a little salty, they were well made and flavorful. An inexpensive night out or just a good spot for a burger.

While in Louisville this past weekend, my daughter and I visited Drakes and this was our first time. We had a hard time finding our a seat at the bar, because all vacant areas were dirty from the previous customer. We picked a spot that was the least dirty and the bartender came over immediately and I let him know upfront that this was our first time in this restaurant. My daughter asked for a drink, I was undecided. He came back quickly with her drink and asked if I was ready to order a drink – I was still undecided. He came back a 3rd time and I ordered a drink. He disappeared for quite a while before informing me that he had looked everywhere for the Jameson Whiskey for my drink. He did not offer another Irish Whiskey, instead asked would I like something else – I let him know I had to review the menu. While reviewing the drink selections, he passed my daughter and I several times, never made eye contact nor asked if I was ready. When he finally came back over, I ordered and it took him awhile to make the drink because several other customers demanded his attention. When I finally got my drink, it was good – however by this time my daughter was ready to go and asked for check which came rather quickly – more quickly than my drink. We ended up going to car and found no other restaurants open in the immediate area, so I ordered online and food was brought to car. I ordered a smashburger with an egg on it with sweet potatoes and the burger was AMAZING!! and the sweet potato fries paired well with it.
I understand it was a Saturday night, but the place was not at capacity, there were many vacant seats. Bartender was working alone, however – a smile, eye contact, a nod or some type of acknowledgement would have been better than what service we received.
