One of the best parts about coming here is the experience of sitting at a shared table where the food is cooked right in front of everyone. You get seated with other guests, which makes the atmosphere fun and lively, especially as everyone watches the chef prepare the meal together.

The chefs are entertaining and keep the table engaged while cooking, which turns dinner into more of an experience than just a meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly right in front of us.

Great place to enjoy good food while sharing a fun dining experience with others.

Japanese restaurant with hibachi style, actually it’s teppanyaki style i.e. guests sit near large tables equipped with iron griddles, and the chefs would cook your dinner right in front you, all while cracking jokes, tossing eggs into their hats, and making onion volcanoes erupt with fire, their common name in North America is a misnomer.

Option were offered to have food in regular table or opt for large table, I opted for second, even though I was alone they provided the full table, there was wait to check whether other group of people could join the same table. Chef put the fire on the table and doused off, there was no opportunity for chef to make any jokes. Rice portion was huge, asked him to reduced it. Salmon & veggies were good. They offered complimentary salad & soup.

Due the theme of restaurant chef have to be interactive & make people laugh say in birthday party & etc. so there is quite a noise in the area. Apart from it, most of the staffs are from Micronesia so they were bit chattering in their local language.

We’re looking for a new favorite Teppanyaki place after our last couple of times at Fusion. Went last night (Friday), it wasn’t very busy compared to normal. First and foremost, the chef did a great job with the food. So no complaints there. The issue comes with the service and some of their new policies since new owners took over

Our waitress was never to be found for drinks. We’re told she was recently promoted to manager. Again, it wasn’t that busy. We had to ask other waitresses and then finally our chef for help and still waited about another 10 min.

And while our chef was great, it feels like they’re timed now bc they don’t engage and interact the same way with the table anymore. The first couple of times we’ve been since new owners, we thought it was an off night but now it seems like the norm. One of the fun parts of hibachi is interacting with the chef and the table. If it wasn’t for the interaction, we’d just sit at the bar

Then we asked about the ice cream that usually comes post dinner. She explained that they stopped bc most people don’t eat it and the owners were wasting like $3/gallon (her words). So instead of asking people if they want it vs just bringing it, they cut it completely. We also noticed that they took the 2 little noddles out of the spring onion soup

The final kind of “ick” for us was that they charged us $1.25 each for the smallest take home yum yum sauce. I’m adding a pic bc it’s ridiculous. Even Joy of Tokyo only charges $0.25 for theirs. We could have had the chef pour some in a bowl but that would have been wasteful. No one needs to be nickled and dimed when you’re paying over $40/pp for your entree

This is a bummer bc it’s a staple for our families and we usually recommend it above all other places. I miss the old owners

Been here many times and it’s been great almost every time.

Tonight was the worst experience thus far.

Without telling us, they charged a 18% 5 or more gratuity fee and a 3% credit card fee.

Two of my kids didn’t eat, it wasn’t busy as our table had 4 empty seats, and one of my kids was in our lap the whole time and not even two yet.

The waitress did not bring the correct number of salads for us, and did not refill our drinks until towards the end of dinner.

I always leave at least 25% or 30% tip. I informed her that with her leaving the gratuity fee on there it would be worse off for her. She didn’t want to take it to manager or take it off the bill so I paid it and left 0 additional tip for her.

I gave the cook a 20% separate tip for doing a great job.

You need to change how you do business or you will be out of business.

What a freaking joke this place has become. I made a reservation for my friends birthday dinner for 7 at 7pm on Saturday.(this reservation was made on that Monday, the lady confirmed my name, phone number, time, date and how many people in my party) I arrived at the restaurant anticipating it was going to be busy 30 minutes early. I proceeded to stand in line with the host who was absolutely useless standing there not assisting anyone. I then walked up and said I had a reservation where she shortly informed me that I had not been given a reservation and that I was welcome to wait an hour. They were extremely unapologetic and said “I’m sorry whoever did that to you” just a blank expression from her face. How do you magically lose a reservation I made a week before? Then we waited almost 2 hours to get sat for a party of 7. There were multiple parties of 12+ who got sat in 30 mins. We then were seated at 8:45 which is almost 2 hours after our scheduled reservation. We then waited until 9:20 until our chef came out. He was amazing but the service here was god awful and embarrassing. Rude host stand who are incompetent and don’t know how to do their jobs.

Long story short, my wife and I (vegan w/ food sensitivities) joined a group of friends at this restaurant, didn’t/couldn’t eat, but were charged $17 to just sit there. What’re we going to do, not spend ~2 hours with our friends (bday party) just to get out of having to pay? It felt odd, and honestly like we were scammed, especially since we were all the way at the end as the 10th/11th seated people; the seating chart only shows 10 per table but they still charge us BOTH? I don’t know what to think at this point, but one thing is for sure, I will NEVER go back there again.
P.S. I rated 3 stars because we didn’t actually eat any of the food; didn’t want to be absurdly rude, just share our experience.

When this place 1st opened it was great. But now the quality of the food especially the salad that they serve had Brown around the lettuce, we didn’t eat it. The smell and cleanliness of the restaurant has went down. The chairs felt sticky. The prices has went up substantially. I told my family that we will not be going back that we would find another Japanese restaurant to eat at.

The restaurant needs to do a time study to optimize their service time vs the amount of staff it has and should have to avoid for long periods of wait time. Also, the food throughout the chefs should be/taste the same together with the show. Price is too high for what they offer currently. Please benchmark other facilities with the same set up to improve. We waited a long time for basic water drinks more than 15 mins and way more for salads and soups. The stove would not turn on after we had waited already 40 mins. We will not be back.

Went for dinner tonight and ended up waiting an hour on top of our reservation. Wait staff was totally lacking. Only bright spot to the experience was Jimmy the cook. Feel bad for him though because he has no supporting staff around him. Hopefully owner realizes and takes care of his one employee who seemed to work hard to please customers. 2.5hr dinner at this place is not something I’ll be doing again.

Extremely disappointed with my service today. I don’t even know where to start…the over 30 min wait for the chef, our waitress messing several bills up, the lack of flavor in the food, the grill apparently not working properly, the added gratitity for our party of 5 when most restaurants only add gratuity for parities of 8…the sushi was good but for the prices, I expected top tier service which was not provided. We will not be returning.
