Gott’s Roadside at the Ferry Building is where nostalgia meets the California dream. A modern take on the classic American diner—fresh ingredients, local beer, and views of the Bay Bridge. Burgers are juicy, fries crisp, shakes dangerously good. Despite the crowd, the team moves with cheerful precision. Grab a seat outdoors, feel the sea breeze, and watch the city flow by. It’s not just comfort food; it’s a reminder of how joyful simple things can be when done right. Perfect pit stop between ferry rides and market strolls.

They have cookies and a hot chocolate stand inside the ferry building and it was delicious!
Their hot chocolate was so rich and delicious paired with the chocolate chip cookie with a prinkle of sea salt was just divine. It was just the right treat for the winter season. The workers were so nice and had a great conversation with them. Will definitely be back!

Very delicious American-diner style restaurant and food. Got the Vietnamese chicken salad, fried chicken burger and garlic fries. Very flavorful and non greasy food.

I have been coming here for years, for the burgers but somehow completely missed their soft serve. They are phenomenal!
Must try spot, plenty of seats, great selection of items. And if you want sweet treats on the go, do not miss this spot out!

Excellent food, Excellent service, great place to chill and watch people while chowing down on the great Gotts fare. Plenty of seating. Come in fresh off the boat, hit the head, grab a table and chairs outside along the street, and enjoy your afternoon. Get the blackberry cobbler parfait. It’s to die for. Trust me on this one Joey. Highly recommended

We were super excited to try Gott’s burgers, but unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. It took over 40–45 minutes to get our food, which really affected the experience. The burgers were decent, but nothing extraordinary, definitely not worth the long wait.

Finally tried the Double 8 Fiore di Latte (Buffalo Milk) and the Strause Organic Vanilla. I still prefer the taste of milk.

I come to Gotts every week and typically never have an issue. However the last few times that I’ve gone have been a disaster. Today, the burger I got was completely burnt and inedible. I payed like thirty bucks for a burger and fries and I couldn’t even eat it. I ordered to go and was already in the ferry once I ate it so I couldn’t do anything. The fries were stale, burger BURNT, and workers rude :/ Please do better!

This place nails both the California chicken sandwich, and chicken tenders with fries. The California chicken was a total winner with juicy grilled chicken, and zesty sauce all stacked on a fresh bun. The chicken tenders were crispy perfection on the outside, and tender on the inside. The place is clean, and there is plenty of seating inside and outside. A bustling spot, with great energy!
