Stopped by here on the way back to Florida from the mountains to see if Cook Out actually tastes better in North Carolina. I can’t exactly say if that was the case but that’s probably because I love Cook Out no matter where I have it! This location did seem to be more generous with portions than the Georgia Cook Outs I usually hit up on road trips, and my burger, quesadilla, cheese curds, and sweet tea were all delicious as always. Service was nice too. Overall a great experience and a great value.

The cashier was nice an friendly, took our order pretty quick and dispatched not too long after. Where I have an issue is that perhaps being that quick is what lead to me getting food poisoning. I had ordered two chicken quesadillas and they were handed out to me pretty quick but that whole night into the next morning I was having abdominal pains which ultimately resulted in food poisoning from the chicken I had the night before at Cookout. I ask that please make sure to properly cook things to avoid another situation like this.

Cook out is a usual go to for me and my family but they let me down today! I know they get super busy but dang would you want to eat a super burnt quesadilla? I don’t think anyone in their right mind would this won’t stop us from going but I’ll choose my sides with this experience in mind lol

Went to this cookout with my husband as I often do, we are on second shift and it’s one of the few places open late at night, when we handed our card to the cashier he took it, swiped it, handed us our drinks and then handed us our card, he came back and said there was still $1 and some change that was owed (it was a cash app card) , I forgot my purse at home, so the only card I had on me was a cash app card which is what I used, I had no cash, and my phone was dead so Apple Pay was not an option, felt embarrassed and bad, my husband told the young in his 20s or under Hispanic boy working that we didn’t have it as he tried to hand the drinks back (mind you he hadn’t handed us the food yet so it’s not like we were trying to hand back two full meals) , the boy said to my husband you don’t have a dollar? I mean come on.. it was an embarrassing accident, we Own a house a car make more money then they do! I couldn’t imagine how it would make someone who truly was just barely making it financially to feel. I could understand if it was more money, but $1 and some change is wild, especially when the customer tries to give It back, not expecting anything for free and apologizing, will not go back just because of the shaming high horse atmosphere, I told my husband I would like to give that boy cash to keep at the register for the next time a poor stranger needs a dollar, so they don’t have to get put down too. For a company who has bible verses on their cups.. definitely confusing. It costs exactly $0 not to be mean.. could never be me. I will pay for someone’s meal behind me the next time I’m in a drive through, rebuking that negative experience

Stopped in today. I was the second in line at the walk-up window. A lady came to the window started taking the guy’s order that was in front of me then halfway through his order just walked away. Started having side conversations with other employees inside about some other female. The guy in front of me and I were both confused. Someone else came and took our orders. Food was absolutely disgusting and poorly packaged. Clearly no one here cares.

Just paid 12.00 for 3 milkshakes which non of which were frozen and mine had a long hair in it, sad. The shakes are never frozen these days . I love cook out but it’s time to change.

I’ve given this place so many chances. Almost every single time I visit, they get my order wrong. The wrong drink or the wrong sides. Many times forgetting parts of the order. Which means I pay for things I don’t receive. I really don’t recommend this place. I certainly won’t be returning.

Morganton Cook Out has to be one of my favorite locations. The food is always on point. Very Good and wish the headquarters would consider buying a spot around lake James in the area. We need a cookout around here! You would stay packed with business I Gaurantee 100% Those late hours still serving food everyone up this way would be rolling out 11pm 12am to grab some cookout to eat haha. I know I would I stay hungry I love eating food! Oh yeah by far also the best place so get milk shakes hands down seriously. You get what you pay for.

I paid $9.18 for a burger and onion rings. This was the burger. Doesn’t cover but half the bun. Sad. Besides the half of hamburger, service was very unprofessional. Practically threw the food out of window. If I could give – stars, I would.
