When I think of Mexican cuisine, this establishment does not rank among my top 10 preferences. Nevertheless, my partner received a gift card, prompting us to revisit the restaurant after previously having unfavorable experiences. We were promptly seated, and our waiter efficiently took our beverage orders – unfortunately, I cannot recall his name, but he demonstrated exceptional attentiveness and courtesy throughout. I opted for the nachos, while my partner chose the bacon-wrapped shrimp. We both found our meals to be enjoyable, and it is fair to say that our experience was improved this time around.

The Fajita beef chimichanga was deliscious. The salsa and blanco queso was a hit. I had the original Taxi beverage and the spicy Taxi and they both were a win! Our waiter (Justin) was awesome all around!

We had the BEST experience with Justin as our waiter. Went to lunch with my 10 month old and her grandparents. We all agreed best service we have had in forever. Very attentive and polite while also showing his own personality. He even cut up strawberries into bite sized pieces for my baby! Food was great, Justin made the experience even better!

Came in the other day to eat and had a great experience overall. The atmosphere was welcoming, and everyone was friendly. We got to talking with a gentleman named Bryan who brought us our chips and salsa, and he was amazing. We honestly thought he was going to be our server because his personality and customer service were that good. Our actual server was great as well, but Bryan really stood out and made the experience even better. We had a great time and will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends and family. Thank you!

My husband and I went out to dinner on the spur of the moment on Monday, 02/01/26. Our first choice had a really long wait, so we thought we’d try something else on Cherry Street. We wound up at Mi Cocina, and are both SO very glad we did! We found a new favorite! Just the smells reaching us from the parking lot confirmed we’d made a good choice. When I explained to our server than I have a significant allergy to cilantro, she conveyed this to the chef on duty, who came out and reviewed the menu with me to ensure my selection would be safe. We started off with picadillo beef Nachos Locas which were delicious, and then moved to an order of Ernie’s Chicken for me and picadillo beef enchiladas for him. Both were so flavorful and delicious! They made every effort to accommodate my allergy, bringing me fresh ingredients for the guacamole that normally comes with my dish, since I couldn’t have the standard recipe, all of which the chef had personally prepped. Dessert was a mouthwatering chocolate tres leches cake that had some type of creamy mousse in the middle – amazing!!! We had a truly lovely time and I’m already looking forward to our next visit.

Food was fabulous! I went with my best friend and we both had the grilled chicken with sauteed portabella mushrooms and onions. I had a side of their refried beads and they were so tasty. She had a side of rice. The chicken was absolutely perfect! We will definitely visit again although our list of restaurants to try is long! They have fairly priced entrees.

I would have given this place a 5 star review except really the only good thing about it was the server/bartender Tina. The food used to be great it’s now mediocre. I can see the management staff really is not engaged. It’s really sad this place has fallen off the last couple of years. I used to love eating here. Hopefully they get back to what they were a few years ago. There are too many restaurants in Tulsa for mediocre business. I know it’s corporate owned so really not surprised it’s just sad

Excellent experience. This place is huge and has a nice upscale kind of feel. Service was excellent. She was training a new guy and both had great attitudes and kept us informed and refilled.
I order the street taco lunch special and it was amazing. I chose one beef and one chicken and the marinade was excellent and all ingredients were fresh. I asked for the hot salsa to try and loved it. I have a good tolerance for hot sauce and this had great flavor and not overly burning the mouth.
My love ordered the taquotuos and she absolutely love them. Perfectly cooked and crispy too. Her mom ordered the lunch special 1, enchiladas and she loved them as well.

Made reservations for a party of 8 at 7pm and the table was ready for us when we got there. The margarita selection was great and there was plenty to go around with the queso and guacamole appetizers. I highly recommend the brisket tacos. Great atmosphere, service and food!
