Our first restaurant, Knight’s Steakhouse on Dexter Avenue, has become an Ann Arbor fixture since it was opened in 1984 by Ray Knight. Its appeal goes beyond the incredible meals, service and staff that make you feel right at home and unrivaled quality and value. For many, Knight’s is part of the fabric of the community, a place to call your home away from home and we couldn’t be prouder. If you haven’t been to Knight’s Steakhouse, come on in – we’ll make sure you have a great visit!
Old-school outfit serving a variety of steaks, seafood & burgers in a comfy setting with a full bar.

Haven’t been here in close to two decades but wanted to come back with my husband for him to try. I knew it would get super busy at normal dinner time, so we got there at 5pm, had a couple minute wait and were seated upstairs in the corner. Not my favorite seating choice, but it was alright. I would recommend a reservation if planning dinner. My husband loved the atmosphere saying if he knew it was “lodgy” before he would have wanted to come sooner, lol. We were hungry and ordered potato skins for an appetizer. Our server brought us bread and butter and it had a great flavor. The skins came out, half slightly overdone, not great, but the ones that were cooked right were perfect! I ordered the prime sirloin steak with onion rings and I do tend to like a bit more flavor with my steak, but it was cooked perfectly! The onion rings here are amazing and have been the same for over 40 years! My husband got the Knight Rider Burger and loved it! I think when we come back I’ll try a burger. I wanted dessert but we were so full. I got a house salad with my steak as well, forgot about that. Our server, Jenna, was awesome! Very bubbly and on top of things. My steak pic came out blurry, oops.

Great traditional atmosphere. Service was good and fast. The food was great. The salmon bowl was amazing, the salmon was perfectly cooked, though it might have been a little too salty or spicy for some folks so be aware when ordering. The Alyssa salad was great. Very similar to a Michigan salad. The sauce can be sweet so my advice is not to add too much. The chicken finger from the kids menu was average, nothing to rave or complain about. Overall we had a good meal

Went in for dinner on a Friday night and overall had a pretty solid experience. The place had a relaxed vibe, not too loud, and we were seated within about 15 minutes. I ordered a ribeye cooked medium and it came out just about right, maybe slightly more medium-well but still juicy and flavorful. The baked potato was good and came out hot, which I appreciate. Service was steady and friendly, even though they seemed busy. Prices are what you’d expect for a steakhouse. Nothing over the top, just a dependable spot for a decent steak and a comfortable meal. I’d come back again.

I’ve never had a bad experience at Knight’s. Food is always fantastic (steaks always cooked correctly) the drinks are very big, and the service is always fast and friendly. It can be a bit loud during dinner but that’s because it’s always packed. If you’re visiting from out of town or even local like me, I’d highly recommend this place.

Awesome, old school restaurant! Love the burgers, prime rib, and wine selection. Fun, funky place with a staff to match.

The atmosphere is casual, but the steak is delicious. It’s a bit expensive, so I’d like to save this restaurant for a special occasion.

Some in our group said their dinner was good, others not impressed. Halibut cheeks were ok, NY strip was good, two friends ordered Medium Well steak, brought to table rare, sent back and returned the same, very pink inside. We were told the bar tender does not have a blender for the Brandy Alexander drinks. Atmosphere is busy, tables are too close together.

The restaurant is a great restaurant. The food is amazing. The service is phenomenal. Never had any issues with the restaurant. The only thing that’s like a hiccup is just they don’t really have tap to pay, which is fine, but it can catch some people off guard because of it so be aware that you always need to bring your credit card

OG hangout. You never know who you will run into. Love this spot it is always a good time. It is usually packed because the food is out of site! Get a seat at the bar and find out what is happening my friends! Love this spot! One can be single and a female and it feels safe. It is run by a family from Ann Arbor and they buy quality and believe in community! The service is something they pride themselves on and they recognize you after a few times, throughout the busy atmosphere and make it a point to say hi! Favorite top 10 for the drinks, food and the ambiance!
