Absolutely amazing. My wife and I are pretty big foodies and we decided to drive to Sparta one day. We parked along the street. Opened the car door and immediately smelled this place. We decided to eat here and it was hands down the best pizzeria I’ve been to outside of Europe. The atmosphere was very calm yet lively enough you could bring the kids along. The service was top tier. Our server Chantel was incredible, we confidently allowed her to pick one of our Pizza’s and it was amazing. Multiple other servers checked on us. Extremely welcoming place. We got 2 pizza’s 2 drinks and a desert for $53 and I would have gladly payed twice that for the quality of food and experience. 100% recommend coming here. We live 2 hours from here and it will be our new date night place to eat.

We absolutely love this place! We have been 3 times and every time it’s so so good. The service.. the quality… all of it. It’s the best pizza hands down that you will ever get. If we lived closer all my money would go to this place! I get the Hey Mikey… so dang good.

This is our second time to marioochi’s! It has been delicious both times! We got the wings for an appetizer, the Hey Mikey Pizza, and the large cannoli! Man was everything good! This is one of our favorites spots and we’ll continue to visit when we are in the area! The Hey Mikey Pizza has hot honey on it! It’s so delicious!! The place is very clean, the waiters are good, and everything is very reasonably priced for the quality of food!

Beautiful inside, they let the features of the old building shine. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was excellent, we had the Ciao Ryan and house salad. Can’t wait to return and try something else. The spaghetti and meatball looked amazing as the server carried it past us to the table that ordered it.

A great Italian restaurant. Authentic pizza the way it is made in Italy, especially in Rome. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, thin crust and delightful. Try the garlic knots appetizer. Excellent. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Get there early for dinner, they were very busy by 6:00 pm.

Kayla was an amazing server very polite and courteous. The atmosphere of this restaurant is top notch for the location and it doesn’t get much better. The pizza HANDS DOWN the best in all of Cookeville and the entire area I’ve only lived here for about a year and my first time in Sparta, dont change a thing!.

My husband and I finally made it to Marioochi’s in Sparta, and we’re so glad we did! We were greeted right away by a friendly hostess and offered the choice to wait 20 minutes for a table or sit immediately at the bar. We chose the bar—and it was perfect.
The first thing I noticed was the peaceful atmosphere—no TVs in sight, which made for a relaxing dining experience. The open view of the brick oven was such a nice touch, and the remodel is absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t help but snap a few photos!
Our bartender/server, Andy, was fantastic—he gave us a little history of the place, offered great menu suggestions, and made us feel like we were his only guests. We shared the spinach dip and each ordered a pizza (which made amazing leftovers!). The food was delicious and came out fast—thanks to that high-heat brick oven.
We can’t wait to come back and try the calzones next time. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Marioochi’s is a hidden gem. A bit out of the way for most people in Tennessee, it is definitely worth the drive. We came from Knoxville on the advice of an acquaintance. Our server was quick to greet us with water and menus. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt in serving us throughout the meal. The Italian style pizza (sans tomato sauce) was easily the equal of pizza I had tasted in Italy . My wife’s calzone was the best I have ever tasted–not a doughy mass but a surprisingly light and delicious bite. We split a caprese salad which was the only slightly disappointing choice. The cheese was excellent, the basil a little thin (though more was happily provided on request), the balsamic drizzle was tssty if a little skimpy, but the tomatoes were pretty tasteless. I had a Peroni Italian beer, a choice I found light and refreshing, an excellent accompaniment to pizza. The price for our meal came to just north of $50. I’m certain that if news gets out in Nashville about Marioochi’s you will have to wait for a table. The restaurant was about 80% full when we were there on a Thursday evening which made for a convivial atmosphere.
