Great place to stop by for lunch after spending a day at the Everglades Holiday Park watching alligators from airboats and in gator shows. Wasn’t crowded at noon on the Friday after Christmas – bar was half full and a couple of tables occupied. Service was prompt. Food took a reasonable amount of time to get served – and was clearly freshly prepared. Good crisp flavors. Gator bites scratched an itch. Cuban sandwich was nice. Lords loved their original cheeseburgers. Mozzarella sticks were ok. The steak over rice and beans and plantains was decent as well (bistec de palomila).

LOVED the vibe here! I’ve been wanting to check it out for a while, and I’m really glad I did! This is a “nice” dive bar/tiki bar out in the middle of nowhere, but it’s a scenic drive on US 27 if it’s daytime. There’s live entertainment on the weekends, including Sunday afternoons, which is when I visited. There were THREE bands, including a Doobie Brothers and Allman Brothers tribute band with no cover charge. Guests were definitely older, mostly seniors when I visited, but were really chill. Sometimes, a “biker bar” can be a little intimidating to many, not here. I was surprised how good the Blackened Mahi sandwich I had was (although the fillet was thin), as were the tostones that were golden brown and crunchy, not greasy. Some of the best I’ve had in recent memory. It can get very hot, so dress accordingly. I even saw some guests bring small battery-powered fans. Highly recommend and will be back soon!

We had a great time visiting Cafe 27 to see some friends playing in a great band called Skyn N Bonez. Service was quick and friendly, food came out quickly as well. Cool vibe and a great place to take the motorcycle to an hangout.
