Took about 40min to get the food ready but nice and hot on pickup
Great value for the money, could feed at least three people between 1 biryani and 1 dish
Tastes authentically Bengali like straight from Dhaka, would enthusiastically recommend, the Mughal biryani is spiced wonderfully with good chunks of meat, potatoes, and dried fruit. Kala bhuna is tender and flavorful with good amount of jhol. Aloo bhorta has a fantastic scent of mustard oil and mixed together well. 10/10 spot and would definitely come back again!
I’m a big fan of the Chicken Biryani, Spinach Paneer.
They’re often out of several menu items, which is a bummer, but everything they offer is just delicious!
The Kacchi Biryani was hands down the star of the meal – rich, aromatic, and perfectly cooked, full of spices and the meat melts in your mouth! Kala Bhuna was tender, flavorful, and a great intro for first-timers. The Daal was surprisingly comforting and full of depth. The Fuchka was a delightful surprise – fresh, tangy, and honestly the best we’ve had in Philly. Their Veg Pakora also stood out with a unique taste and crispiness that sets it apart from any other place.
I ordered for two people and the portion sizes were generous, more than enough for a satisfying meal. The pricing is very fair considering the freshly cooked food and prime location.
The restaurant itself is clean, beautifully designed, and welcoming. The two-story interior is spacious, with a peaceful upstairs section that’s perfect for niqabi sisters or families wanting privacy. The staff were friendly, respectful, and made us feel right at home.
Overall, it felt like dining at a relative’s house – warm, cozy, and full of flavor. The owner is an incredibly kind and well-mannered person—made us feel truly welcome and the chef came out to greet us.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience real Bangladeshi hospitality and cuisine. Definitely a 5-star spot we’ll be returning to!
The Kacchi Biryani and Tehari are simply out of this world—fluffy, fragrant rice layered with tender, fall-off-the-bone meat, cooked to absolute perfection. The dal has that homemade richness, the Khashi Gosht is full of deep, bold flavors, and the variety of bhortas (mashed delicacies) is a nostalgic treat that takes you right back to Bangladesh.
The chef came out to greet us. The owners were very friendly and very easy to talk to.
This is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience. There is no other place in Pennsylvania that serves Bangladeshi food this authentic, and I guarantee you’ll be coming back—probably with different family members each time, just to share the experience. If you love true Bangla cooking, this place is a must-visit!
