The ambience was great but was super disappointed in the food. May be we just went on the wrong day but was really a big disappointment for our experience. We tried a variety of options but none of that came authentic Kenyan apart from the mixed platter bitings. Also the prices were a bit too high so was expecting much better. Here are some of what our experience felt like; mukimo – made from the packaged pre-mashed potatoes thereby tasting like powder instead of waru, the green stuff also felt like powder and no actual greens, pilau was a big flop no taste to pilau, ugali like made from semolina or very soft flour. Lets just say even the protein options didn’t hit. Everyone of us left a huge portion of their meal as can be seen on the last picture.
I hope others get to enjoy a different experience.
Would recommend asking for their hot sauce!
If not for the service, I would give it a 5-star rating.
Second time they cancelled my delivery 2 hours after I made the order 1 hour after my driver was assigned and was on route. and when it was too late to order from somewhere else.(Right around the estimated arrival time). After cancelling abruptly, there was no communication they wouldn’t pickup my calls and no one reached out either via call or email to explain the last minute cancellation.
Consistently horrible customer service.
But of course I had to get my whole tilapia (with the head on) because it’s my favorite. Africans can make great tilapia. My island people make snapper well too.
