I ordered ‘The Bob Marley’ from the specials, The Jerk ribs were amazing, with a beautifully spiced bark encrusting the topside, underneath the meat was soft and juicy, expertly cooked.
I’m a big fan of curry goat, and have tried in many South London establishments, this easily lived up to all of them, with the perfect level of heat, the goat was tender and fell off the bone, and the meaty flavour permeated the sauce. The dumplings were crunchy on the surface, and fluffy on the inside, good for mopping up operations.
The staff were friendly and attentive, and the decor matched the atmosphere.
Highly recommended
Thanks for the nice service. ✌️
The service was also fantastic and great atmosphere and cool graffiti covering the walls.
All in all it is well worth a visit here! A+
My Cowpigchicken Burger was very tasty although upgrading to a platter wasn’t impressive for the additional cost.
I got a cold chicken thigh and a ½ rack of ribs with hardly any meat.
Definitely returning but I felt the cost was a bit steep for the quality.
Good atmosphere though and nice staff.
Genuinely think she thought she was working in one of those insult places. Needless to say we didn’t see her again after the order and the other staff were great.
We were really disappointed with the service. Seated straight away and drinks within 10mins, but no one came to take our food order for about 25mins and then food took around half an hour to come out, so from arrival to eating we had to wait 55 mins. It wasn’t that busy. We had a round of drinks from another table added to our bill, so do check your receipt before paying.
When ordering drinks, we asked if two of us could share one refillable drink. The waiter immediately responded in a very dismissive tone saying refillables were “per person”. That was fine — we simply ordered one refillable for my partner instead. He then said *“let me guess, one of you will now just order water”*. I did exactly that because I didn’t want to pay for a drink I knew I wouldn’t finish. His response was *“come on, I wasn’t born yesterday”*, delivered very passive-aggressively.
This made all four adults at the table extremely uncomfortable. No one wanted to order anything further and we decided to leave.
To be clear:
• Nowhere was it stated on the menu that refillables cannot be shared
• We fully respect restaurant policies — but there is a polite way to communicate them
• The tone and attitude were the issue, not the rule itself
The manager did try to resolve the situation, which we appreciate, but by that point the atmosphere was already ruined.
Hospitality is a challenging industry right now, and customer experience matters more than ever. A simple, friendly explanation would have avoided this entirely. Sadly, because of how we were spoken to, we won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend to others.
