Pad Thai with tofu
This was great, the flavor was really nice. The sauce was well-balanced, and the black rice was a good match for the dish. I also liked that it came with a spring roll on the side.
Yellow curry with pork
I really enjoyed this dish. The curry was rich, creamy, and slightly sweet, which I liked. However, the potatoes that came with it were a bit undercooked and could have been softer.
Thai milk tea was solid!
Independent Audit Report: Luv ‘n Eat Thai
Our auditors recently conducted an independent on-site audit of Luv ‘n Eat Thai to assess its service quality, food consistency, facility maintenance, and overall guest experience. The findings are summarized below.
⸻
Accessibility & Environment
The establishment provides ample free parking, accommodating customers conveniently. The dining area has a maximum capacity of 44 guests, and the environment was calm and welcoming with soothing background music played at a low, comfortable volume.
All required business permits were visibly posted near the restroom; however, no health inspection grade card was displayed — a violation of California’s food service regulations, which require this information to be posted where visible to the public.
At the time of audit, there were four active dining parties, and the restaurant maintained a quiet, peaceful atmosphere conducive to an enjoyable dining experience.
⸻
Service Experience
Auditors were greeted and seated immediately at 4:17 p.m., reflecting prompt front-of-house service. Drink orders were taken within two minutes, and food orders followed shortly thereafter.
• Water served: 4:23 p.m.
• Appetizer served: 4:33 p.m.
• Entrées served: 4:42 p.m.
These times indicate efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery. Staff were attentive throughout the meal, with the server checking in multiple times after food was served — a positive sign of customer care and attention to satisfaction.
However, no visible name tags were worn, and the server did not verbally identify herself. This small but important detail helps build trust, transparency, and accountability in customer-facing roles and is strongly encouraged for improvement.
⸻
Food Quality & Presentation
Food was delivered promptly and presented well. However, inconsistencies in temperature and texture were observed:
• Some pieces of orange chicken were hot, while others were significantly cooler, indicating uneven heating or resting time before serving.
• Potatoes in the curry dish were undercooked and firm, suggesting insufficient preparation time.
Despite these issues, portion sizes were reasonable, and presentation was visually appealing.
⸻
Facility Conditions
The establishment has a single unisex restroom available for all guests. The restroom was clean, odor-free, and fully stocked with toilet paper, seat covers, soap, and paper towels. Both trash cans were well-maintained, with one half-full and the other empty.
However, the sink lacked running hot water, a notable health and safety concern that requires immediate correction to meet sanitation standards.

“Where every detail matters.”
We ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, Tofu Pad Thai, and Grilled Salmon. Honestly, everything was really good. No regrets at all trying this place.
The Pineapple Fried Rice had a nice flavor balance and reminded me of what I’ve eaten back in Thailand. The Pad Thai was not overly sweet like many places which I personally appreciate. It tasted more authentic. The grilled salmon was cooked just right, tender and not dry.
Service was quite good. The server was attentive without being too much.
I’m happy we have a solid Thai restaurant close to home and work. I’ll definitely recommend this place to friends and coworkers.
I placed an order for pineapple fried rice through Uber Eats and, once the app said my order was ready, I went to the Luv’n Eat Thai location in Moorpark. When I arrived, they told me they hadn’t received any Uber Eats order. After checking my app, I realized I had accidentally placed the order at the Camarillo location instead. This was completely my mistake, and to make matters worse, it was running that day and drive was ~25 minutes to Camarillo location.
The server at the Moorpark location was incredibly kind and told me not to worry. They offered to call the Camarillo restaurant and remake my order at the Moorpark location. I was honestly so grateful and impressed by their willingness to help. Surprisingly, when they called Camarillo, that location also said they never received the order. I contacted Uber Eats and was told there was an issue with sending the order (which was very frustrating).
In the end, I decided to just place and pay for the order directly at the Moorpark location. The owner was extremely kind, prioritized my order, and I received my food in less than 10 minutes. I truly can’t express how grateful I am for how they handled the situation.
On top of all that, the food was absolutely delicious. This experience earned them a loyal customer, and I highly recommend Luv’n Eat Thai for both their amazing food and outstanding customer service.
Parking in the area is not an issue and the restaurant place is of decent size.
We went on a Saturday night and the place still had a table to accommodate us immediately.
Some items can be pricey, e.g. $4 for a can of soda.
There’s several great Thai restaurants in Ventura County and this is one of them. Take time out of your usual route and explore this place and you’d not be dissappointed.
I ordered the pad z ew (spelled differently here than at other places) with steamed tofu. It was better than expected. Everyone enjoyed their selections.
Can’t wait to go here to enjoy their lunch specials!
