Trying Kinkao’s Kao Pad Prik Pao (pork) for takeout was a fantastic experience! The rice was spot-on, and the wok gave it an irresistible smoky aroma paired with a bold chili paste flavor—tender, flavorful slices of pork belly—perfectly not greasy—added richness without heaviness. Fresh bell peppers and bamboo shoots provided a satisfying crunch, keeping the dish perfectly balanced. I requested it Thai hot, and it was exhilaratingly spicy—absolutely delicious. If you love authentic, fiery Thai fried rice, this is a must-try! I wish the take-out package had the utensils with the food; overall, it’s good.

The food was yummy. The server was nice just wished for a little more attentiveness to the table but they were busy so understandable. Had the Pad thi mild. I could have took it up a notch or two on the heat so I will consider this for next time. We had the egg rolls and crab rangoon for apps. They were both good.

Love this place! Has easily become my favorite restaurant and a staple. the portions are so good i can get it during lunch and have the rest for dinner. i love how delicious everything is and so flavorful and fresh. we probably go at least once a week for dinner and then i will secretly get it during lunch at work and leave it there for the rest of my lunch breaks. it is too good and has so many options so many vegetarian versions. the service is fantastic and the lady is so sweet! i cannot recommend this place more it has been a banger every single time!

This is the best Thai food in Columbia in my opinion! I’ve loved Kampai for years, but I recently tried Kinkao for the first time, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. The curries are DELICIOUS. Absolutely explosive with flavor, colors, and textures.
I’ve also always had amazing customer service experiences here. In fact, I had a particularly great experience a few weekends ago with a server who made it a point to ask me if I had any dietary restrictions or preferences. Very thoughtful!
I don’t eat meat, fish, eggs, or dairy by preference, and he was excited to point me to the vegan options. He even had a bit of extra insight as to which meals included shrimp paste, even though it wasn’t specifically noted in the menu description. Bonus points for this guy! It’s always appreciated when your server knows the menu inside and out.
Lastly, I’ve always been impressed by the generous portions of tofu. As a vegan, it’s not uncommon to order tofu at a restaurant only to be given 3-4 sad cubes. I live a fit and active lifestyle, and so it’s been nice to be able to rely on Kinkao for hearty portions of higher-protein plant foods to keep up with my muscle-building goals.
Anyway, this place rules. Price point is also super reasonable, and it’s awesome that you can tack on a hot cup of tea for just a few dollars. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite Thai restaurants. It’s tiny but clean and well run. The food is amazing and the service is great.

I went and tried the newest Thai place in town tonight.
The food was delicious! We all ordered different things and everyone really enjoyed their selections. I’m but very educated on different curries so I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice which had a little curry and it was really good. The curry definitely added to the flavor.
I’m definitely going to come back and taste more of the menu.

All my friends and family that I’ve ever eaten with at this restaurant have LOVED it and so do I! My dad said it was the best he’s had since he lived in D.C. Everything is good but my favorites are the Khao Soi, Drunken Noodles, and Pumpkin Curry. You have to try the Green Thai Tea. Honorable mention to the Pineapple Fried Rice. Yummy 🙂

Best thai food! Loved everything so good! The atmosphere was surprisingly plain not much decor at all. Most important is the food that’s what matters. Service was fine friendly and attentive for the most part. Highly recommend!

considering that mama chim’s was some of the best thai food in columbia, kinkao had big shoes to fill. but, it exceeded our expectations!
we ordered the chicken curry puffs to share, a chicken red curry with rice and the pad see ew. and a thai milk tea to wash everything down!
the service was great and our food and drinks were delicious. the samosas were flaky and crispy, and the thai milk tea was creamy and fragrant. both entrees were well cooked, and the curry portion was especially generous as the leftovers made a whole other meal.
one thing – i found the upcharge for beef/shrimp as a protein to be too expensive. it’s usually $1 more expensive than chicken, but it was $4 here. so, i got the chicken instead although i would have preferred beef.

We visited Kinkao for lunch today and were thoroughly impressed! We ordered the yellow curry and basil stir fry and loved the rich flavors. The spice levels were perfect and exactly as we ordered and the portions were large. We also enjoyed the vegetable curry puffs and Thai green iced tea. The owner/chef came out to greet us and offered us mango sticky rice, which was tasty and refreshing. They’re currently in their soft opening, but the service was great. We will definitely be coming back.
