Wow, this place is incredible! We first went for breakfast and had the best breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had. The buttery, moist, homemade biscuits topped with egg, cheese, and bacon were phenomenal. They were so big that we had leftovers and were very reasonably priced. We went back for a delicious lunch and also enjoyed their homemade desserts. The flaming mint hot chocolate was such a unique experience- and also ridiculously tasty. The waitstaff and head baker were so kind and friendly. Highly recommend!!

Such a sweet spot. It’s not your typical breakfast spot, but that’s what I love about it. Homemade delicious food, great cup of coffee and amazing service. Highly recommend! Huge portions.
I got a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, and my daughter got a pancake that came with home fries, orange slices and bacon. We shared a warmed scone with whip cream and homemade lemon curd. Everything is homemade and absolutely to die for.

Could not have had a better experience here. We were just looking for a fun hot chocolate and we got that and SO much more. The atmosphere was friendly and kind, the flaming hot chocolate was unbelievable, and wow the owner was such a nice person.
Would go back again and I’d have paid 2x what we did for the hot chocolate, they were amazing!

The entrance can be tricky to find, but it’s around the back. Don’t give up if you can’t find it at first, it’s worth the visit.
The staff is attentive and friendly. When we arrived service was super quick but it filled up quick. Prepare for a wait if there’s a lot of people and be patient, it’s only 2 people.

Hidden Gem in North Conway!
We had the veggie omelets and lattes — absolutely delicious! This place can be a little tricky to find, but don’t give up — it’s literally underground and totally worth the hunt. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and fresh food that hits the spot. Highly recommend stopping here for breakfast or brunch if you’re in town!

I decided to try a different breakfast spot in North Conway and Googled Best Breakfast, which is how we found Underground Bakery & Cafe. I love how it’s inconspicuous and you need to look closely to find it. Once you do, the storefront was a delight, but loved the signage to get you further downstairs to the Cafe. The exposed granite slabs added to my intrigue. I ordered their buttermilk pancakes, which got fantastic reviews. And my bff got their eggs bene. Both meals were absolutely amazing and I’d return in a heartbeat. Also their cappuccino was incredible and smooth. Service was flawless and our waitress had the nicest personality. This is definitely a hidden gem and a must try! Now, if you can leave without their homemade funny bones or ring-dings, good luck. Their personal size mini cakes are outstanding. My family owned a bakery 54 years just outside Boston. I’m extremely fussy on baked goods. Their bakery items are top quality with a Keen attention to detail. Their chocolate chip cookie is one of the best I’ve had grace my lips in years! Do not make a mistake and pass by without stopping in, even if it’s just for their cake pops, or a cookie.

This is a hidden gem! I was hesitant to eat because there was only 1 other eating. unlike other places on the main st. The location is kinda hidden, but I’m glad, no wait and the food was the best! I’m not a pancake person but I tried my husbands, so so good, I wish I could make them like this ♥️, they are also served with real maple syrup. I ordered the French toast, the best I’ve ever had! Made with homemade bread, so yummy! The prices were low compared to the quality. Great service, the 2 younger ladies were so nice. I wish we had a place this good by us. Don’t wait in long lines, find this place, you won’t regret it!

Wow! What a find! We were shopping and saw the sign- so we knew we HAD to stop in. The store is really cool with interesting and unique items. But then you go downstairs to the most quaint and surprising bakery! Nanci, the owner, came over and chatted with us. She was so kind and upbeat! I wanted to try everything, but was able to rein it in. Her desserts were not only beautiful, but SO tasty! We tried the Salted Caramel cake and the Funny Bone-both amazing! Her cakes are so light, moist, and flavorful. The Swiss meringue is so smooth. And don’t get me started on those funny bones! They tasted EXACTLY like the OG! A light layer of chocolate coats a moist, chocolatey cake, filled with light, fluffy, oh-so peanut buttery filling. We will be back! This is a must try!! You will not be disappointed! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
