I had a really disappointing meal at Shiki Sushi and I won’t be coming back.
I wish I had read the reviews before coming here. Multiple people have had the same bad experience I did .
The sushi rolls looked nice on the plate, but the taste told a different story—the fish was not fresh at all. One reviewer described getting salmon that was “still frozen inside with ice chunks” and unfortunately, that matches my experience too .
The tempura shrimp was absolutely ridiculous. It was drowning in way too much batter—clearly overfloured—and the shrimp inside was slimy and unappetizing. For the price they charge, it’s a complete rip-off.
The miso soup was awful. It tasted like instant powder with way too much water—completely bland and flavorless. A Japanese reviewer pointed out that “the sushi rice is undercooked and hard” and noted that proper sushi rice is the most important ingredient . They were absolutely right—this wasn’t sushi rice at all.
Service was practically nonexistent. Multiple reviews mention slow, inattentive service, with one table waiting over 40 minutes for their rolls while the waitress never checked on them . I had the same experience.
To top it all off, everything is overpriced for the terrible quality you get. Save your money and go somewhere else. This place used to be better, but now it’s just poor quality all around .

The most DISGUSTING tofu I never ate. I don’t eat fish, so I wondered why my tofu smelled like dead fish so I called and they told me it was covered in fish flakes. It went straight into the garbage.
Save your money, especially if youre a vegetarian, because they like to sprinkle stinky dead fish flakes all over your food without telling you. The tofu is not listed on the menu with dead fish flakes on top or I would have never gotten it. GROSS!!

I have not had better quality sushi than what is made here. only place I’ve ever had udon noodles,and they were tasty. this is my go to place to go out to eat. why go out to eat to have food you can make yourself? this here is wonderful.

Was craving Japanese food the other day and finally decided to give Shiki a try… I was SO happy I did! The food was delicious and super filling! I got the chicken katsu lunch special and it was phenomenal! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a tasty Japanese meal in the area.

These are all the special rolls that I had ate before in Shiki. It was so delicious, especially cowboy roll and king rolls. Tasty and wonderful. Just go for it and you’ll enjoy it.

Only giving 3 stars because I ordered eel sashimi for $7.75 and only received two small pieces. Might as well have ordered sushi with eel. Food is great just don’t order sashimi

Need to make an appointment, only one table at a time, will be disinfected, there is disinfectant hand sanitizer on the table, very good experience, reasonable price, fresh things, very pleasant dining, is a good dining choice.
