The very cool part about this bowling alley is that it is located right next to Elm Street Plaza. You can sit outside and listen to free live music while you eat or drink. Their prices are very reasonable here. Their food and drink prices are noticeably lower than every other place nearby. We love that! Their bowling alley is exactly what you would expect with a nice bowling alley. Their bar is good. The employees are very friendly and respectful. I would recommend Chalet Lanes! I would recommend sitting in their outside area so you can listen to the music playing as well if there’s music playing at the Elm Street Plaza while you’re there.

Stopped in here on a Thursday night with my wife and kids… we’re from out of town but the kids were tired of the waterparks. Definitely a more locals place which we loved because most of the other Dells places have that “fake” feel. Kelly the bartender was amazing! She mixed the drinks just right and had a great attention to detail especially with my young kids. She went out of her way multiple times to make sure we were happy & that really meant a lot to us. She was so welcoming and made us feel at home. The burgers were awesome too! Definitely some of the best bar food we’ve had in the Dells!
We loved Chalet Lanes from the food, the vibe from the locals & the service from Kelly and the young man at the front. Everything was just right.

We went to Chalet Lanes & Lounge in Wisconsin Dells hoping to have a fun time with the family, but unfortunately, the experience was just average. We had a discount that they refused to apply, even after we showed it. The service wasn’t very good—staff were not very friendly and didn’t seem willing to help.

During the game, some turns were skipped automatically because a few of the balls the kids threw got stuck in the gutter and didn’t come back into the play area, which disrupted the game several times.

The facilities are basic and nothing special—not particularly comfortable or inviting.

Overall, I wouldn’t really recommend it. There are better options if you’re looking to enjoy a good bowling experience with family or friends.

Visited here for late night food. Was AMAZED by the Best Burgers Ever, as stated on their menu, made by their hard working cook, Jay! Cole, Gavin, and Kelly were such wonderful bartenders that greeted us quickly and enthusiastically.

They have great service, food n drinks. The kitchen is usually open til 11pm.

Huge plus, while other places are even closed or their kitchen is closed

Dialy specials are available. Stopped by on a Wednesday, and I had the cheeseburger with chili. Delicious

My family and I arrived in Wisconsin dells pretty late on Saturday afternoon to stay at Mt. Olympus overnight. After snow tubing for 2 hours and dinner after, the indoor waterpark was closing and we weren’t just ready to call it a night. We have decided we wanted to go bowling, so we googled bowling places near us. There were a couple of main attractions/places that included bowling, but were closing by 11. This place was the first place to pop up and showed on a Saturday it was open to 2:30. Excited that we weren’t going to be rushed and could enjoy our time we headed over. When we had arrived we asked if there were open lanes, mind you it was as going on 10pm, the young man working at the desk said we could only bowl for 30min. Apparently they had been slow all day, and he made it seem like they were going to be closing. We had asked how much we were going to be charged and he said 15 bucks. We decided since we already were there why not.! Paid for the 30 min play time. Another family came in shortly after us and had been told the same thing. The part I’m extremely upset about is, as we were leaving, I kinda had noticed nobody else was packing up or really looking like they were leaving, at the time I just assumed they were just finishing their game and probably staying for the bar. When my husband and I got int the car with the kids, he then told me he didn’t understand why we only had 30 minutes for a game, when the young kids who were there before us, had 58 mins left on there screen for play time. Had I of been aware of this I would of brought this up to the worker in the front. I totally understand if they were going to close early because they weren’t getting enough customers, but I am not okay with a worker deciding who can and who cant open bowl at a bowling aisle that is clearly not closing. This was horrible customer service, and I feel insulted and disrespected. Never again will they get our service

The Chalet was recommended to us by some locals. They were dead on with their recommendation. I had the blackened jalapeño burger, fries and cheese curds. All were cooked to perfection and delicious. Kelly the server was excellent. Nothing but good things to say about Hara and her staff. We will be back if not this week the next time we are in Dells. Thank you ladies for the awesome time. We didn’t bowl but the bar area was pretty cool! I had a BLT with tots and 100% will get it again. The tots are crispy and perfect! The bartenders were very nice as well!

My 8 year old daughter and I went to Chalet Lanes and Lounge tonight because my daughter wanted to have some fun and go bowling while out of school and on vacation in Wisconsin Dells. We found this place online and off we went. When we arrived we were greeted first thing by Kelly with a huge smile and genuine desire to help us. She and the manager Sarah are hands down the friendliest two people by far my daughter and I have met while we have been here in Wisconsin Dells for 3 days now. They constantly have huge smiles on their faces, are so friendly, conversational, go above and beyond to explain things, give you the best customer service I have probably seen over any establishment I’ve ever been to my entire life. When my young daughter and I arrived, Kelly explained how the bowling worked time wise, actually was able to guess the exact size of my daughter and I’s bowling shoes and was spot on, made a perfect recommendation for our bowing balls, put our names in on our game so it was already done as it was easier that way. She checked on us multiple times to see if we were ok, she helped put up the bumpers on our lane for my daughter without us even having to ask as she just was looking out for us the entire time. She even brought us bandaids to protect our fingers while bowling. In addition, she made the best Shirley temple for my daughter with cherries to make her feel special complete with a Cherry on a pic at the top. I was just as floored when I met Sarah the manager, both of them literally have permanent smiles on their faces! So nice! Sarah is meticulous about her food taste and display and has the best food honestly over everywhere we have gone in Wisconsin Dells! I highly recommend it! It’s better than even the bigger establishments so it’s a hidden gem. We will be going back very soon and these two beautiful ladies could teach courses on what customer service is all about! When we got ready to go, Kelly took us aside and really took the time to help make a whole list of recommendations as far as the best kid oriented activities in Wisconsin Dells and was so amazing with my daughter, who commented after we left that she thought she might be a real life Angel. They both are. Such warm people. Kelly went through the brochure stand with my little one having a whole discussion asking her questions about her likes and dislikes and helping her and I form a plan. This place should be not only a bowling alley and lounge but advertised as the first stop into Wisconsin Dells for a personalized trip planning session with the top tier welcome they offer. I have never felt so welcome in a business in my life.

Local gal here. My husband and I have always been fans of Chalet…until our last visit for dinner. Now, I will say this is mostly my opinion and few complaints were had by my husband but I just can’t stop thinking about it lol.

We went out this past Friday after work. As always, our service was fine. Atmosphere…also fine, though the singer was very loud and it was hard to talk at times. Whatever, though, really…it’s a bar on a Friday night lol. So no real complaint there….

Where things went south for me was when my dinner arrived. My husband ordered a cheeseburger and fries while I ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad (regular size) for $14.75. The flavor of the chicken was actually very good but for $14.75….i literally got a salad the size of my palm. It very much looked more like a side salad with chicken on it than a salad meant to be anyone’s entire meal.

I know I live in the Dells area and the prices are generally higher…especially on Broadway but that salad is a joke for that price. It was honestly like an 8-10 bite salad at best. I likely would return for the apps in the future because the food does have good flavor…but probably not for much else.

The BLT and sandwiches alike are similar in price but be aware that that is for the sandwich ONLY. You have to pay more for a side which I think is silly given the high price point already.

That said, I will probably end up just going a little further down the road to the Sand Bar where the service is even better, the atmosphere warmer with a better small town vibe AND get what I paid for portion-wise.

Sorry, Chalet. Super disappointed with my last experience!
