I had a short visit and wanted good food with a relaxing ocean view. Based on reviews I found a lovely choice at Mahi’s. Parking deck is across the street. I was there for lunch and three staff members treated me wonderfully. Answered my questions, smiled and I enjoyed the decor. Seating inside or outside. Food was typical choices but unique dressing, and spices added wonderful tastes. The she crab soup had enough meat for enhanced flavor and pleasurable eating. The California roll had a bit of extra “spice” that was delicious. The ginger-soy dressing on the Mahi’s house salad was a delightful option.

My husband took me here for my birthday. Elegant place, food was delicious, rice cooked to perfection, best scallops I have ever had, asparagus was perfectly cooked. Great service, and great atmosphere. Definitely on the list to come back!

I had such a great experience at Mahi’s! The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor — every roll tasted just right. The salad was crisp and refreshing, with just the right balance of textures and flavors. The atmosphere felt relaxed yet stylish, and it made for a really enjoyable dining experience by the beach. Service was attentive without being rushed, which made the meal even better. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re in Virginia Beach and craving great sushi with a view!

The she crab soup was very tasty; creamy with lumps of crab meat. The oysters Rockefeller weren’t great, they were a bit dry. The signature mahi was cooked well and had decent flavor.

Great view of the beach and service was attentive. There were a lot of flies but it could be because we sat by the door to the outside seating. The she crab soup had real crab in it and was on the sweet side. The fish tacos were seasoned well and the mango salsa was the perfect summer garnish. I chose hush puppies and they were perfectly fried and not greasy. It was my first time here and I would be back.

Maui’s is a very modern restaurant with very nice decor. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the hostess staff and immediately sat us at a table and our waiter came right over and took our drink order despite the restaurant being incredibly busy. From the drinks to the appetizers to the main course everything was good.
My husband did order the crab legs right after happy hour ended. The crab legs were flaky and the manager walked over without my husband saying anything and brought a huge plate of fresh crab legs at no cost and said he wanted us to eat how they would have originally been served regardless both servings were good. We have been coming to Virginia Beach for the last 4 years and always make it a point to eat at Maui’s.

Great oceanfront restaurant within walking distance of The Marriott along the Boardwalk. The local oysters were fresh and delicious! Ambience was perfect for relaxing beachfront whether laid-back or upscale. Great for family meals or a date! The sushi was fresh and sliders were filling.

The restaurant has such a great atmosphere! It is so pretty inside! The staff were very kind, our waitress was super attentive. The food was expensive but so delicious, and the portion sizes were pretty generous!
