We are in town dropping our son off to college, and his dad, brother, and I were looking for a place to eat before we sat down to play board games for the night before moving him into his dorm tomorrow. I looked at the reviews for Rudy’s, and they all seemed great, so we decided to give them a try, and we are so glad we did! The service was amazing, the restaurant was so clean and inviting. They give you samples if you let them know that it is your 1st time eating there. The pic of the food I took is of our leftovers because the guys ate it too fast for me to get a before pic, but there was turkey, brisket, and jalapeño cheddar sausage. We tried the corn on the cob, potato salad, green chili stew, and, of course, the banana and chocolate pudding along with sweet tea and lemonade. It all was delicious I am so glad to hear that there are more of these restaurants in other areas and not just right here. We will definitely be back. We highly recommend it!

First time here. Workers offered us free samples, were super friendly and patient as we ordered. I had the brisket sandwich, delicious rich, smoky flavor. Will absolutely be back next time I’m in Las Cruces.

I moved to Cruces a few years back. The food here is outstanding but the last few times I ordered in for take out, the service hasn’t been the greatest. I’ve noticed that I have to ask for bread after they pack my food up to go. I just left this establishment and their where 2 people ahead of me. I seen both servers prep up their meal and ask them if they’ll like bread. I placed my order and again, they packed it up without asking me if I would like bread. I love the food here and it is excellent but I can’t continue to spend money in a business if I’m going to be treated differently than other customers.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 – majority of the protein starts at 1/2 pound and you can order more. There is an original and a “sissy” sauce (though the original isn’t that spicy). They offer white and wheat bread slices complimentary with the order.
We ordered brisket and pork ribs and both were absolutely delicious! The pork ribs had a pepper based rib on in that was so well marinated that the flavor goes completely through the protein. It was so tender but still had such a good bite. We did debate between the moist and regular brisket and just decided to go with regular. It had a bit of marbling in it so it was still tender and flavored so well. We got an edge piece which was on the saltier side but we did enjoy the smokey flavor
Ambience: n/a – ordered food to go. Huge space with lots of tables and benches to eat at. Self serve bar with some sides, utensils, and more sauces

Today we attended a toy drive at Rudy’s BBQ n Las Cruces, NM. We are so impressed on the organized service the staff provided!! Served over 200 people all at once. This location works like a fine tuned machine!! Great food and great service. We always get friendly, professional service on every visit. Great atmosphere. Extremely recommend!!!!

I have been a Dickies fan for quite some time.. I moved from Arizona here and all there was is a Rudys. I tried I onced and hated it.
But since being here in Las Cruces for 8 years now. It has gotten better in that I now know what to order.

One of our favorite places to visit. Rudy’s offers a variety of BBQ with a good selection of sides. We went during the day on Tuesday. It wasn’t busy. Service was prompt. The restaurant was clean.. The pulled pork was full of flavor. The potato salad and coleslaw were perfect sides.The banana pudding is absolutely delicious.

What a different and pleasant experience! They give out meat samples to first timers. They are also eco friendly. No plates! The meats were amazing and you get to order as much as you want (you pay by weight). The staff was so friendly as well. Got the turkey, ribs, brisket, potato salad, corn.. the works :). I wish they were nation wide!

Location: Fine, Parking:Good, Service:Different, Price for food received: As expected. Overall: It has been a frw years since I have enjoyed this Rudy’s Location. I always try to get one last meal before I head out of state and look forward to my next meal when Arriving back into town. But this time was a bit different. I ordered the prime rib remembering how they sliced the meat to make some of the best sandwiches. This time I got a whole steak and had to ask for it to be cut. Kinda weird but okay. The meat was not as tender as past meals which was also kinda off. I do hope this was a one time oops and will be fixed as the prime rib is the expensive cut to get bad. Crossing fingers to not have this happen on my next visit….
