This was my first time here and I went with my boyfriend and took him out for a celebration. In the reservation, I had asked if they could write a congrats note fully not expecting it to happen but it brought a huge smile to my face when I saw it on the table ♡ these small touches mean so much. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us. The food was amazing. Our waiter was super nice and knowledgeable and kind. We got these little tokens to get a fortune after dinner which was such a fun touch. We will def be back!! ♡

Im quite picky when it comes to ramen but this place has some good ramen! I got the classic tonkotsu broth with chasu pork. The both was flavorful and not too salty. The pork was thinner than I’m used to but it was crispy and savory without being too fatty. Overall, a good choice for a solid bowl of ramen!

My husband and I made reservations for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere is a vibe, the sake is great and the food — Delicious! It was a bit busy tonight but I’ll take that as a restaurant with amazing food! Next time we visit the area, we will come back!

Okay, so my son, who’s totally obsessed with ramen noodles, spotted this place called “Bad Luck Ramen” when we were visiting UVA, and we decided to grab a late lunch there. The name was just too unique and unusual to pass up.
It was definitely not our usual kind of spot, a bit different from where we normally eat, but it was good. I even took a quick video of the outside to give you an idea of the vibe. Honestly, the atmosphere wasn’t really our preferred ambience, but hey, when we’re in a different city, we’re always up for exploring new things! The outdoors didn’t exactly scream “us,” but the online reviews were raving, so we figured, let’s go for it.
Turns out, we were so glad we did! The staff were super chill and friendly, and the food was good too. Like, really good ramen, sushi and vegan ones too. The inside had this relaxed Japanese feel, but also kind of laid-back, with a bar tucked into one corner and then these comfy low tables with cushions to sit on. It was a pretty cool atmosphere. And get this – they even gave us two coins to try our luck with some kind of fortune thing! It was just another fun little thing that made the whole visit even better.

Came upon this place by chance while passing through and so glad we did! Food is amazing! We had the chili spice edamame, red dragon wings, cowboy curry, and the Nas original ramen with Mayu black garlic oil. All were very tasty. Love the vibe and the excellent customer service! This will definitely be a must stop when we come through again. Thank you Robin!!!

Sadly disappointed my last two visits. Last visit the chef added a bunch of some new spicy topping to my not-spicy ramen bowl and got upset when I asked them to remake it. This visit, the whole bowl tasted just, burnt. Half of my pork was blackened (while the rest was not), and the broth also tasted burnt. I brought this up to my waitress, she took it back to the kitchen. The chef said that’s just how it’s supposed be. I’ve been coming to the restaurant for over a year now, and that was the first time my pork was burnt. The chef said he would not remake my food. About 10 minutes later my waitress comes to the table with a new bowl, which was just as burnt, and took the first bowl. The chef put the black garlic oil on the side, claiming thats what I was tasting-it was not. Gaslighting customers after bruning their food isn’t a good look. Maybe the chef should take a step back and reevaluate how he handles his mistakes.

One of my favorite eateries by far. First I will start with the Sake, seeing this is the first and only Sake spot in Cville: I’ve tried every flavor of the Sake and honestly, they are all winners. You can tell they brew their Sake to perfection. The Olympus is my all-time favorite though, it is very smooth and rich, and it doesn’t leave you with a hangover. Well, none of their drinks leaves you with a hangover. My most favorite dish would be the 3g Chicken Teriyaki, the eggrolls. The eggrolls are made just right, with a perfect crunch, a perfect mixture. Not greasy and oily at all. The Sweet Chili sauce that is made from scratch tops it off. If you’re into Ramen bowls, I do recommend the Mr.Spicy(which is my favorite Ramen dish there). The Tempura shrimp are delicious, although it’s just an appetizer but I highly recommend it as well. The Cali Board is tasty too, it’s my fav sushi board. The orange sauce that they drizzle on it is delicious. The Dumplings are really good as well. Let’s talk about the staff now, everyone is super dope and welcoming. They’re all friendly and greet you with smiles and excellent customer service. All of the Supervisors are amazingly dope!! While dining there and becoming a regular customer, the staff made me feel like I was a part of their team. From the cooks, the boh team members, and all of the foh team members, upstanding service was always provided. I love the art and decor, easy on the eye. And they always have Anime playing on all the TV screens, if you’re into Anime like myself. You would love it

Really good drinks, food, and service. We had Logan as our waitress and she was wonderful. She was so kind and very helpful! The sake was spot on for my fiancé and the ramen, sushi, wings, and pork dumplings were oh so tasty.
