Here’s the thing about where I currently live. It’s nowhere near Mexico. There are plenty of decent taco spots all over but there’s always that huge missing piece of authenticity.

In walk a taqueria, connected to a gas station, in Kennesaw. Kennesaw.

Needless to say, it’s solid. It’s exactly that feel you want when you walk into a spot. The family is running the joint, the regular crowd is hanging out eating lunch at the tables. The decor has been slowly evolving into its current form since opening day. It all works perfectly and the tacos were absolutely perfect. That salsa was so delicious.

Walked in. Employee was eating and had to get told to greet us. Food came out wrong and had to get remade. All food was really dry and tough. Maybe the steak just isnt the item to get but neither was the chicken. Best item was the rice and beans. I would suggest turning on the lights for customers to see when they walk in or while they are eating. It was really dark and awkward but that was also just our experience.

Perfect hole-in-the-wall taco spot. Tacos are cheap and super good. Pastor was my personal favorite.

So cheap and so delicious!! Their meal deals are only $10 and they make the tortillas there. Plenty of seating for families, too. I’ll be back for sure. Wish I had taken a photo but it was so good I forgot to.

Overall, the food is good! They are definitely authentic. The menudo was delicious! I also ordered the chicharrone, tripa and pork tacos. They were also delicious! The customer service was good too. I went on a Sunday evening and they were packed. No one spoke English, so I pretty much had to point to everything, but they were very kind and helped me. It’s attached to a gas station so it’s kind of random, but its a cute small place.

“Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short of expectations. A request for still water was inadvertently replaced with sparkling water, and to our dismay, a beetle was found in the glass. Attention to detail in fulfilling orders and maintaining cleanliness are crucial areas that need refinement to ensure a more refined and enjoyable experience for patrons. It is regrettable.”
