I’ve been going here for Cuban food ever since I was a kid and would ride my bike there! The food is always delicious, the portions are generous, the staff is always friendly, and the prices are very economical. There is a reason why Pipo’s has been around for so many years!

This place does not look very special from outside, but the people and the good are exceptional. It’s family owned and the servers are always very friendly. Being from Cuba, this is the best Cuban food nearby that feels like food my grandma would make on weekend dinners. Their Palomilla Steak Sandwich is fantastic and just about all their cantina items are great.
Not make people don’t in, but don’t let that fool you. This is a popular spot for online orders and pickups. There has never been a day I walk in where I don’t see the servers lining up online orders on the counter for pickup. Very happy to see this owners thriving with this restaurant. Everyone is very family oriented and amicable.

Our food was not served hot. It was almost cold. The reason this upset me was because meat and rice sitting at room temp all day can make you sick. We packed the food up and took it home, 40 minutes away, to heat it and hopefully make it safe to eat. This is dangerous, to say the least. I was really hoping for a good experience. We always go to the St Pete location and are never disappointed and in fact, they always go over and above my expectations so this was just super disappointing.

This is a hidden gem! If you’re looking for some delicious authentic Cuban food, look no further. It’s easy to miss when driving by, it’s really tucked in-between two buldings. More parking is around back. Prices are excellent especially for the amount of food served. There’s a wide variety of options. I wanted to try everything, but I went for the roasted pork, yuca w/ mojo and plantains. Of course I had to get a cafe con leche. It was the perfect cup of comfort on a yucky, rainy day. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m on this side of town!

Been visiting 20+ years and never an issue. New owners seem to have invested in making the location nicer inside & out!
Pork/rice = yum! Cuban with pork is really good. Iced-T is fairly priced and good.
Note: parking in rear is super convenient. Exiting via Hillsborough Ave is not always easy. Pro tip = you can exit from the rear parking lot but just go slow (see pics).
They accept Apple & Samsung Pay and more which makes checking out easy!

The black rice and beans were so flavorful, the baked chicken was good not as seasoned as it could have been but good sweet plantains were good sweet and soft! I wish they would of had a potato salad or macaroni salad as an option it would have enhanced the meal. Over all I enjoyed it as take out.

Once you are inside, there is a cafeteria like feel to the place with about 10 tables. You make a line to chose what you want to eat or you can go a la carta. Today, I chose to have a Cuban sandwich. I called ahead of time but still had to make the very long line. I had ordered the sandwich about 15 minutes before I actually got it. It barely had any pork, very shy on the meet, I think they dumped the bottle of mustard inside. It was not the best.

I don’t understand why the rating so high I’m a real Hispanic been cuban sandwich for over 20 years. This is by far the most horrible one I have didn’t have any pork just a piece they charge me extra for pork. I’m a good tipper and the ladies didn’t even smile or nothing not a good place. oh, and I was charged ahead of time
