Older guy at the front had a welcoming smile. That was nice. The smile changed my service 4 stars into a five.
Table service is very prompt. I’ve been to those where they leave you to your own and never came back. They have their eyes on your table like hawks ready to swoop in when you leave for the next round.
Food was good–they did have all the popular…okay “my popular” items, except I didn’t see the Mongolian beef. As a heart patient, that would be nice. Sushi had less rice and more meat and fruit/veggies, which is a plus. Egg drop had condiments, complementing it and setting them apart for some reason. My friend commented that it looked like the three of us had different egg drop soups! Mongolian bbq had higher end veggies and good selection of meats. Maybe add some pork? Next time, I just need to add more flavor–a chef issue, not the cook’s. I had a hard time getting the cash in my pants. Then I saw that there was no container for tips. Oh, nice!
Ftr, I didn’t finish my second dish but they didn’t give me a hard time about it.

Kingdom Buffet has been a consistently wonderful experience every time I have eaten there. My mother and I have been frequenting Kingdom Buffet for years… and I couldn’t be happier! The food is excellent, fresh and high quality with a wide variety of options. I’m legitimately mystified why anyone would post a negative review about this place! It’s not the egg rolls.
It’s not even the soft serve machine.
It’s what my stomach does two hours later.
So we rolled into Kingdom Buffet in Rochester and I approached the steam tables like a cautious field tester. Little of this. Little of that. Some suspiciously shiny General Tso’s. Maybe a brave scoop of lo mein.
And here’s the shocking part.
No internal fireworks.
No bathroom sprint drills.
No regrettable life choices.
Just solid, steady satisfaction.
The food was hot, fresh, and didn’t taste like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since the Bush administration. Plenty of options, clean setup, and refills happening without chaos.
Kingdom Buffet passed the ultimate test.
Five stars.
Zero explosions.

Went to Kingdom Buffet for late lunch. I’ve been there many times and have always enjoyed a large selection and variety of foods. I always start with the grill and get chicken with vegetables, spicy. Then some Salmon with lemon. I am always surprised at how good everything is. I can’t recommend this place enough, if you’re in the area you must give it a try. Price is very reasonable and the food is always excellent.

We first tried the Kingdom Buffet about 10 yrs ago when we started coming to Rochester for the Mayo Clinic. We were incredibly impressed then and still are today when we returned. The food is always fresh and there is a huge selection to satisfy the taste buds of everyone. I hope my photos show the many choices available. The decor is modern and we have been happy with the cleanliness overall, including the restrooms. If you want a great Chinese food value at a very affordable price, don’t beside to give this place a try. I know you won’t be let down.

When you go here, expect a middle of the ground, family run chinese buffet. Its not bad, its not great.
Food was ok at best, with the best option being the hibachi grill in the back. Most of the hot food was ok.
The service was great for the most part. And we had very few complaints, nothing worth noting here tbh.
Expect a middling experience and you wont leave disappointed.

The food was fine for the lunch price. The booths are very uncomfortable to sit on. I was very concerned about the turtles they keep on display. There was no dry land for them, there were coins in the water, no UV lights or heat lamps, and it didn’t seem like a healthy environment. It was sad to see.

My first time eating there was two weeks ago. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic! I have since taking my family there for lunch. And they loved the food as well and once again service was beyond amazing. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!

This was the worst place I have eaten at in Rochester. I had a friend from out of town who loves Asian food down two Sundays ago and I brought him here to eat. The food was bland and thoroughly cold. It cost 42.00 for the two of us and we ended up leaving and eating elsewhere. So disappointing.
