We ordered two rolls.. rice is super sour and soggy. It was supposed to be salmon but everything is fried stuff.. cannot eat anything. We have to pick the cucumber to eat.. the box is all oil.. very oily roll!!
We even found a fish bone in the roll.
I am disappointed but it’s the worst sushi we’ve ever had. Please don’t go!!! You will regret!!

I ordered delivery from Sushi California, it tasted good and pretty fresh. The portion size for the sashimi was big even though I had half. The price has gone up steadily though the years. However, if you are in the area and want tasty sushi, Sushi California is pretty good.

Stumbled on this on Broadway. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. I was really pleased with my salmon don. Food was clean and fresh. Waitress and chefs seem happy to be at work. We will return again when we’re in town, without a doubt.

Tried the spicy salmon in both maki and temaki. The fish tasted fresh and the spice level was balanced, not too strong. Portions were decent and service was quick.
I placed order on call and was told it would be ready in 20min. I dropped by exactly 20min later and it was all prepared.
Overall, a solid and reliable spot for a simple sushi meal.

Popped in for a quick lunch today before work. The food was ok, but I really appreciated the service of the two Korean servers. They were friendly and efficient. There were two other tables along with some take-out orders at the time so it wasn’t incredibly busy, but it was an enjoyable experience overall. Thank you for the pleasant service!

Even though the place was quite full when we entered, we were seated right away and the service was quick and efficient. We ordered quite a bit and got our food much faster than expected. The sushi tasted fresh, not too much rice. We ordered some rolls that were not as common and were pleasantly surprised at the balanced and refreshing flavor. The prices were not bad either! So happy we found this place behind all the construction in the area!

I was disappointed with my experience at this branch. The sushi was far too cold, almost as if it had just come straight from the fridge, which really affected the taste and texture.
Additionally, the music was uncomfortably loud, with songs playing at a volume that made the atmosphere quite stressful.
Overall, I didn’t enjoy the food or the ambiance at this location.

WORST SUSHI EVER.DO NOT COME HERE. ITS TERRIBLE QUALITY. I’ve been to different Sushi California locations in the lower mainland and they are much much better. This location does not care about customers. The rolls are TINY, and they cheap out on ingredients. I just ordered the spicy double tuna roll and there was nothing double about it. Other sushi California locations are way better; have BIG rolls… especially the one in Surrey. I’m telling everyone NOT TO COME HERE TO THIS BROADWAY LOCATION. SHAME ON THEM!!!!! What’s wrong with them?

Ok, so I was totally blown away. First off thank you to Grace for being such an excellent host. When you come here be prepared for incredible portions that make you feel like part of the family. I had the miso chicken salad, the sushi tower and edamame. It was extraordinary and I didn’t realize it was a DOUBLE sushi tower!! I can’t recommend this place enough, and I was glad I didn’t eat breakfast the day I came in! Thank you Grace and Sushi California for an amazing experience!

Decent Japanese & sushi spot. Some rolls were bland though. The house roll and the grilled beef teriyaki were very good. Also, the wild salmon sashimi was great quality. The staff are super friendly and prices seem fair given the recent inflation spikes in costs.
