This place is my absolute favorite in Wichita Falls. The food is so delicious, the staff is the friendliest in town and the restaurant gives that homey feel. All the food is also very reasonably priced. I plan on coming weekly because this restaurant is just that good. I highly recommend!!

Best chicken enchiladas I’ve had in a long time!! My husband had a barbacoa torta, and the meat was tender and juicy. We shared a vanilla flan, someone had bought all of his regular flan…but the vanilla was delicious. Highly recommended

We are visiting from out of state, and were on the hunt for good Mexican food. This food did NOT disappoint. The server treated us like family and was so accommodating of our toddler. The food was prompt, and fresh. We love it here!

Best Spanish/Mexican in Wichita Falls by a mile. The chips and also were spicy and flavorful. The green salsa was brought out quickly by a wonderful waitress who was very friendly. Our drink orders were taken within a few minutes and brought out promptly. We ordered tostones and they were savory, crispy, and seasoned well. my wife got the taco plate (carne, el pastor, and barbacoa) each was better than the last. The rice and beans were as expected, delicious. My son has the Cubano. It was as authentic as if we were in Miami, and an empanadillas. It was fried to perfection and the meat (ground beef) was so tasty I almost ordered another for myself. I had the carne asada torta. The bread was soft and buttery with perfectly cooked crispy carne and enough sauce and veg to really round it out. Next I had a lengua taco. The meat was so tender and delicious. They really know what they are doing. Finally, my wife wouldn’t consider it a solid outing without some horchata. It was rich and spiced just enough. If you can’t tell already, I highly recommend La Fogata.

We ate here on the 31st, the day we had just arrived in Wichita Falls, and it honestly made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was amazing warm, lively, and comforting. The food was delicious and full of flavor, and the experience really stood out to us during our first day in town. We’ll definitely be back.

Went in on 10/26/25 and had a date here. The atmosphere was great and the service was great! Those girls were friendly and do a great job answering questions! The food is AMAZING! I tried several things and there was noy one bad thing! The owner Salomon is awesome, and super friendly! Go see them! I highly recommend and will be back!

Excellent food and service! If you’re local or passing through, try it out. Earlier this week had lunch on my own (Chicharron de Pollo) and brought the family today. The Cubano with fried plantains was outstanding (in the pic you’ll see I already ate some)! Clean place, very friendly.
