The Traveling Dorns
We were looking for a nice restaurant located somewhere between Ashland, KY and Columbus, Ohio. We came across this restaurant on Google and decided to give it a try. Overall we were very satisfied with our dinner. Appetizers came out promptly. Our drinks were never empty. They had a large party going on in another room and our server was in training. The entire staff did a great job supporting her and communicating expectations about our food and timing the entire visit. Now the food, if you ever have the chance to enjoy their chili, it’s a must, meaty, hearty and delicious. The tomato and pepper soup, equally as good. I completely understand why it’s a staple on the menu. The shrimp scampi was “The best I ever had.” according to my son’s girlfriend. Lasagna also meaty, cheesey and everything a good lasagna should be. The fact that eveything is homemade really shines through in the lasagna. The chicken vodka sub, huge! Definitely large enough to share, seasoned and not sloppy. I loved it and have leftovers for lunch today. The only downside of our experience was the Alfredo, my husband said his noodles were under cooked, and thought it was bland. I don’t think it was bad because he cleaned his plate. So think about if you are trying to decide whether or not to give this place a try. The pickest person in our group cleaned his plate. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

My husband, myself and three young adults visited this restaurant 1/16/26 we had reservations, I could see the staff was doing their best, but I got the sense they were not well organized, they were all nice, the problem was with the food, we got the beef and noodles, the beef and sauce was flavorful, but the noodles were way under cooked and very al denta , we also got the chicken and broccoli Alfredo, again the noodled were hard and there was not enough Alfredo sauce on it which left the noodle hard and dry. we had four dishes with the same noodles and they were all the same. I noticed that other tables that got the same noodle dishes that we got didn’t eat much of their meal either. I may go back one more time and try a pizza and see if that is any better. I would love to see this restaurant do well, as I love to visit local restaurants in the Chillicothe area. Just please cook the noodles longer, and add more sauce to the chicken Alfredo.

Always perfection!!
Love this place!
Staff are beyond wonderful and I cannot boast enough about their pasta.
All MY TASTE *and psst, ill admit it ONCE!! –better than mine!
All what I expect, plus better and I didn’t have to do all that work! Also, food sensitivities? They are very pleasant to work with on not adding.
Suggestion: looking for FODMAP restriction friendly?
Ask the shrimp and grits to be adjusted.
Adjusting for low/high F intake? Simple meat and veg available w only the ingredients agreed. Never been an issue and if you have restrictions or simple requests, you get all considerations to love the food and come back. Feels like a nice little secret tucked into downtown ross county and we are blessed to have them!!! Now I’m hungry… thinking about Lievita’s!!
(Last visit/dinning out pix @Lievita w Hubby on our date nite, if only this had “smell vision”)

Me and my boyfriend came here for a date (his idea, not mine). As I had never ate here, I was a little skeptical at first! My suspicion was soon replaced with a smile! Let me explain…
Nearly the second we walked inside, we were politely seated to a wonderful, secluded area of the place! I immediately admired the comfortable booth, the warm and calm atmosphere, and the romantic tunes (some classic Elvis Presley was playing when we first seated, LOVE that!!)
Our waiter was amazing and oh so sweet! She gave us plenty of time to order, refilled our drinks without us even having to ask, and even gave me bread and butter to take home when I said “compliments to the chef”!!!
I truly have never, in my sixteen years of living, ate at a better place than this. I’ve never seen a reason to leave a review on a restaurant until now.
To the staff, thank you so much for this wonderful experience. I wish to come here again, and you all truly deserve a HUGE raise
To the ones debating on eating here, I highly recommend if you’re looking for a calm, soft, and romantic environment!
Thank you for your services!

My husband and I dined in tonight for something different, and we were so impressed by every single component of our visit. Lievita is an absolute gem, one that certainly deserves a visit! We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which we both said was one of the best we’ve ever had. The flatbread that it comes with was absolutely phenomenal. We both got a pasta dish that came with a delicious salad, and both pastas were perfect. We couldn’t stop there, and decided to go for dessert as well to get a taste of everything and I’m so glad we did. The carrot cake was so delicious, we were both blown away. Service was an absolute 10/10 and is so clear that this restaurant wants to serve happy customers. We love the commitment to clean ingredients, and love that the food reflected it 100%. We will certainly be back and couldn’t be happier to have such a great dinner spot in our town! Thanks again, Shai!

Lievita is my new favorite place to eat in Chillicothe! The ingredients are fresh and delicious! You get large portions and quality food. It’s priced well for you want.
The staff is amazing. Lizzie is a fantastic worker and always so kind with everyone around her.
It’s a little tucked away and near Yoctangee park and across the street from Grandpa Joe’s.
Their sourdough pizza and bread is amazing.
Try their carrot cake when they have it!!!

Quiet little spot. We went in for lunch. I do wish they had a smaller portion size available. We were seated right away. The lasagna was good. The pasta and sausage was also good. They do have a GF pasta, I didn’t get it because I didn’t want a large portion for lunch. They do not have GF pizza. I was disappointed in the spinach artichoke dip (since that was my meal). They used grated cheese instead of shredded, it didn’t melt. Parking is on the street so finding a place to park may be tricky. They do have a small bar with seating.

This restaurant is my favorite restaurant in Chillicothe. It is true authentic Italian food. It is family owned and you definitely tell it’s not a chain restaurant by the taste of their food. We dine in and get takeout regularly. I’m just really impressed everything I’ve tried has been excellent. I ordered takeout today. It was a pretty decent size order with alot of specific details and they never messed up my order even as far as extra sauces or dressing. I want to give a shoot out to Nate he took our order today over the phone and everything was perfect.
My favorite is their Chicken Marsala, Lasagna, and the pizza is to die for.
The staff is helpful and amazing.
It is definitely the best hidden gem in Chillicothe.

Had the pizza, was pretty good. Needed more sauce. Nice server, salad was small for being over $10.
Would go there again.

Our food was amazing. The dry rub bone in wings and the boneless buffalo wings are the best in Ross county, hands down. We also got the Italian sub on a baguette because the pizza oven was down so we couldn’t get it on the flat bread. Sub was amazing too!
