Had all my favorites. Everything was fresh and good This location even had a waffle bar. It gets packed so I’d try to beat the dinner rush on the weekends.

I went on 1/18/26 at 9:43 am with family as they were visiting. On my last plate my sister pointed out that there was a bug crawling around. I immediately noticed it was a roach as I have lived in Illinois for almost two years and have seen them unfortunately before. I had my younger sister take a picture -which is date and time stamped- and notified everyone in my group to not continue to eat. After notifying the waitress she conversed with another customer not immediately notifying management which I feel should have been the proper thing ? The workers are generally very nice and helpful and the food is decent for what you pay BUT for there to be roaches crawling around out in the open? Ridiculous. I wish had my phone on me to take a clearer picture but eat here at your own risk- roaches are known to carry

Review written 8/22/2025. A lot of dirty plates and bowls, did not get pics of the dirtiest ones but really gross.
Also the tops of napkin dispenser really dirty and ledges along wall really dirty.

I ate here with a friend for dinner. The employee at the front, Joe, was very rude to the man in front of us who was trying to pay. I suddenly remembered why I have only been to a Golden Coral once before. The food selection. It was really limited. The only thing I saw worth eating was the freshly seared steak. The pizza slices looked like food from middle school and were ice cold.

Aa with any buffet the food can. Be Hit & Miss. Had just returned from vacation in Seattle and went here for dinner. In fact this didn’t even show up on my car GPS. Having been to several Golden Coral locations. This place had really good tasting food. Among the very best of this chain. Definitely would eat here again !

Love the soups here. Saw that there are a lot of regulars here. One of those regulars, even tipped the drinks waitress with cash whilst walking away from the tables. She was really attentive throughout my experience. It’s been about 15 years since I was here, but back then it was called Country Buffet and we came here frequently during my High School days of 1996-1999. The meat types available is to a very good degree, but most of them a very well done so really hard. Namely, the boneless chicken wings are really tough to take down. Salad bar is extensive and decent. Sweets table is very, very extensive and quite the favourite here. Sadly, alcohol is not served therefore limiting the amount of banter between employees 🙂 BYOB is not observed either, hence my low Atmosphere rating.

My family and I drove over 40 minutes to come to this location. Although we knew it closed at 8:30 a manager let us know he didn’t recommend us to pay because there wasn’t going to be any food left. We understood the restaurant was busy but people were leaving. Coming from a place that works food service no guests should be advised to leave. I feel as though that was so unprofessional and rude. I will not recommend this location due to their management and lack of staffing for a Sunday night dinner rush.

Btw, ⚠️ a warning to chemically sensitive older patrons!!! There may be some employees here who use those new super-toxic Gain or other brands of in-wash Scent beads regularly on their clothes, and this will cause jittery electric nerve pain as well as itchiness when you eat here. Muscle cramping and uncoordination is common with scent beads exposure as well. If you are sensitive to scent beads, it will be a very painful and excruciating experience eating here
2-26-25 update: Nitrates warning — those small self-serve cheeseburgers have tons of Nitrates in the beef patties!!!!! It will give you 18+ hour high pressure headaches if you are sensitive to Nitrates

Great steaks… Quality of the meat not ultimately great, but hey, all you can eat is great!!! nicely marinated and grilled/charred = delicioso!
We had to move seats twice due to heavy perfume and cologne and the nasty (painful and itchy) scent beads-in-the-wash types of people. To those who lay on the perfume and cologne: please don’t wear these at eating places — your cologne/perfume is really gross to those trying to enjoy their food!

One of the dirtiest restaurants I’ve ever seen. I had to wipe down our table and chairs with a rag that was laying on the table next to us before we could sit down. Cashier was not very friendly. She asked what kind of drinks we wanted, implying the drinks came with the meal. But no..2.99ea. That comes to roughly $20/person(senior) for food that tastes like crap and is cold by the time you reach your table. One manager spent his time stirring food. The other one spent the whole time we were there wiping the counter while tables weren’t being bussed, trash was everywhere, and six of the seven utensil dispensers were empty. I informed the manager about the lack of silverware, but, with an attitude, told me to walk all the way over to the salad bar to get a spoon for my ice cream. Food was not labeled. No smiles. No “thanks for coming in”. What a rip-off!
Update: I thought we’d try it again on Thanksgiving. The food was a little better but there were a few empty entrees. The clean plates had food on them. The utensil containers were empty, again.(see pics)

Horrible, 0/10 would not recommend. Half the food was old, host was rude and waiter never returned to bring drinks. Bad experience. Will never return!
