Dos Reales Mexican Restaurant is a great stop, especially if you’re on a long drive and looking for a place to relax and grab a delicious meal. I had one of the vegetarian lunch options (though I can’t recall the exact name), and the taste was absolutely amazing — highly recommended for anyone who enjoys bold, flavorful food.
They start you off with crispy tortilla chips and a spicy salsa that really hits the spot — a great way to kick off the meal. The restaurant also has ample parking, which is convenient, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. If you’re dining with a large group, there are plenty of big tables available too.
Overall, a solid place for a tasty Mexican meal with good service and a comfortable setting.

I recently visited this amazing Mexican restaurant and I must say, they offer generous portions of delicious food at a great value! It’s truly a treat for your taste buds. While the service can sometimes be a tad slow, especially during busy periods, the majority of the staff is incredibly warm and eager to assist you with any requests or help you find exactly what you’re looking for. Give this place a try if you’re craving some tasty Mexican cuisine without breaking the bank!

The food was pretty good. The tap water was horrible, so I opted for a diet. The service was fine. The atmosphere was ok. The place could use a revamp or a good cleaning. Overall, it was a decent place to stop for lunch. The lunch menu was priced reasonably. I would go again.

Went back for another great meal.
I have never been to this place. I ordered a shrimp dinner with rice the shrimp was delicious the rice had a good flavor but it was dry. My wife had a stuffed pepper she liked. I would go back. The staff was pleasant and friendly.

Coming from Arizona, we are always leary of trying Mexican restaurants east of Texas. However, we do have to say Dos Reales met our expectations. We enjoyed the margaritas. Hubby got raspberry, and I got strawberry. For lunch, hubby ordered the Enchilada Supremo, which came with 5 different enchilada. He really liked the variety. I ordered the #6 combo, which comes with a taco, Enchilada, with rice and beans. Have to say the tortillas for the Enchiladas were a little doughy, but the Enchilada sauce and Salas were very good. We really appreciated our server checking in with us.

So on my visit here I have to say it looked cleanly and seemed busy.
The service was still prompt considering they were very busy.
Food presentation: fantastic
Portions: exceptional
Food taste: 3 out of 10. The issue is, living in AZ (next to the border and also having gone to many times to Mexico, found this lacking in proper Mexican flavors.
Bar: stocked and impressive ( didn’t get a chance to take a photo)
Bathrooms: dirty and stopped up. ( I do have photos, but feel these next to food is a tastless act… though if needed I can send them ( yes, I took photos because I believe in proof)
Service was great. Food- not horrible- but not the authentic Mexican.

There is no way I can complain about this place. The food was incredible & if you leave hungry, it’s on you. There were 3 of us & we were all impressed. Food came out quick & hot. Serving size was fantastic.

Went here with a friend on a Sunday evening and we were seated immediately. Service was very fast and friendly. The menu is extensive and it was hard to choose. I ended up with the chicken asado which was excellent. It was served with a large portion of rice and beans, probably the most generous portion I’ve ever received in a Mexican restaurant. Everything tasted delicious and I would definitely get this again. My friend got enchiladas which he said was his go-to. To top things off, prices are reasonable. I will definitely come back here!

We had the lunch special – I ordered the shrimp chimichanga and my husband had the steak burrito. My dish was so unbelievably delicious I am still thinking about it 24 hours later! We can’t wait to visit Champaign again and will make this a regular stop!!
