We got the daily special, which was fried fish, baby shrimp, crab, 4 hush puppies, fries and coleslaw. The serving sizes are great but the food quality is equal to or less than Long John silvers (for what we got). The baby shrimp in particular tasted like cleaning chemicals and we could not stomach many of them. Everything else was okay but nothing that I would come back for.

I had arrived in Roanoke to place this review and I have to say the service was great, but the food was not. I have been all over the United States trying out different seafood and currently in seven months. I have had the best seafood in Florida. I thought I would give this place a try because my parents used to eat here. I even contacted to try to speak to the owner, but I got no reply. The scallops were chewy and hard. The shrimp was not good. There was no seasoning in any of the food practically. I had the catfish blackened. This really made me never wanna eat here again I really wish The expectations that I had for this place was still there. I have to say the hush puppies were amazing!!!

It’s been a year since my last review. Our family love this place! We come at least once a month if not more. The food and service is always amazing! When you see Togo boxes in every corner of the restaurant that’s definitely a sign that the food is good (guaranteed you will need a box). We feel at home when we walk in the door. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Roanoke.

The last 3 times I got the fried scallop dinner the scallops were barely warm.

This place was amazing! Friendly, attentive servers even though the place was packed! Food was delicious! You could actually taste thr seafood not just the breading like so many places. And portions are huge!

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had.
The food was literally inedible. We ordered a lot, because we wanted to try a few different things. Sent most of it to the trash, including our entire entrees. I literally spit out my oyster on the half shell.
The fryer either wasn’t hot enough, or their cook was having an off night, but the fried food was way too greasy, and sticky, like it was undercooked. Even the bucket of crab legs was the worst crab legs I’ve ever had.
Plus no bar, an hostess with a serious cough, and a bunch of noisy, unruly kids running around. We will never go back.

We ordered a create your own 2 and we were charged an upcharge because we split the meal. Then charged a 3% upcharge because we used a debit card instead of cash. So beware of the uncharges with them..too bad the food has gone down it’s not that good anymore…

Place is a true gem in Roanoke. It’s timeless and spotless. If you’re in the mood for some fried seafood don’t go anywhere else. Yum!!

Although we had to wait 45 minutes to eat, it wasn’t Jarbor Inns fault, it was because we had 16 people and wanted to sit together. Food was excellent and huge portions. Service was pretty phenomenal even with the big party.
