The food was fantastic, and the staff was very nice and welcoming. Our only minor hiccup was being seated in a spot just out of our server’s view, so there were a few times we needed things like refills and had to wave someone down. No big deal, just something to note.
Overall, Anne Bonny’s is a wonderful spot to enjoy great food, incredible views, and a beautiful waterfront experience. Highly recommend if you’re in Wilmington!
Got a gluten free bun for my burger and a bull city cider. It was no extra charge for a gluten free bun! Burger was juicy and a good value. The vibe was also wonderful – looking over the water and listening to the music!
Got the grouper sandwich and it was very bland. Not enough tartar sauce or other sauce options. Large portion for a very reasonable $13.
Fun atmosphere with great views. However, the overall vibe from servers and bartenders seemed rather miserable.
A fun spot but there are way better food options downtown Wilmington.
We sat at a table right next to the water. The water views are great!! Highly recommend!
Jay, our server, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and made drink recommendations, so I had the mango sunrise (delicious frozen drink). We started off with the parmesan Caesar wings, which are seriously some of the best wings I’ve ever had, if not THE best. The size, the sauce, they weren’t dry, overcooked or greasy. Perfection. For entree, I had the special – catfish po’ boy. Another amazing dish, and the portion size blew me away. I had to take half home! My only little tidbit is the fruit side is prepackaged cup, not fresh like I’d thought, but I just took that home. No big deal.
Absolutely love the atmosphere and the weather was perfect for eating outdoors, although every now and then I’d forget it was on the water until the horizon moved I will definitely be back!
