Rosemary naan, garlic mozzarella naan, and kashmiri naan were all fantastic starters. The rosemary naan was light on rosemary but was still buttery, salty, and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the presence and strong flavor of the Szechuan chicken. Our entrees, The chicken curry and the butter chicken, were both tasty (I liked the curry more). Their medium level of spicy is just enough kick to get your nose running and doesn’t overpower the flavors of the dish. For dessert, the Gulab Jamun was a cool and refreshing while their Raas Malai is served (temperature) hot with more sweetness. The atmosphere was clean and stylish. Our waiter Reagan was attentive and patient – very easy to talk to. Next time I hope to try their rice pudding and other dishes!

We were in town hiking at Pinnacle and looking for a restaurant open on Easter — and a good tornado shelter. This turned out to be a fantastic choice! The food was delicious, the price reasonable, and our waiter very knowledgeable and helpful in making decisions between the choices on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back when we are in town again.

Absolutely amazing! Today was my birthday and we treated our self to some butter chicken and more. The atmosphere is calming and exotic. Just so beautiful and you can tell everyone loves to come here to eat no matter if it’s lunch or dinner. The staff is kind and attentive. We loved it!

It’s an amazing experience, I am a traveller and I have visited more than 12 states in the USA and I am from India. I have experienced many Indian restaurants in the USA but this I can tell is one of my favorites now . We have 2 paws little cats and we are exhausted but they agreed to sit outdoors and it’s amazing.
Biriyani : It’s not a completely hydrated style it’s not dry it’s gray kind but filled with a lot of flavors.
Service: Trust me they always have eyes on you ,Always check on your comfort are not . Very warm welcoming.

Just moved to the area and found this place 2 weeks ago. In 2 weeks I have been here 4 times! Dolly has been our server 3/4 times and she’s been wonderful. I’m Indian and my wife is American. But she can handle the spice! So if you’re like her, and really want some good spicy authentic Indian, ask for medium plus!

October 2025 update – After visiting most all of the top restaurants in Little Rock, I can confidently say that Taj mahal is one of the best restaurants in regards to food quality, service and management. The manager on duty, he is one of the best that I have encountered. Background music has definitely improved. July 2025 update – Menu has changed a bit-not too excited about the changes. Food substitutions are strictly not allowed strange as it would be about the same price- the explanation was a bit vague. Anti-loitering music may have been turned up..very annoying. Kitchen continues to be consistent.; April 2025 – same old, not a whole lot different. I am happy that they still have a Thali available. Anti-loitering music continues to be annoying. March 2025 Update: Upgraded from 4 stars to 5 stars, the food and service was excellent. I would encourage the owners to play Indian music instead of the canned music (anti-loitering music) used in cheap places to get the customers to their business and leave. Dec 2024 update. The bar/ cocktails have definitely improved. The food is good, fairly typical for an Indian restaurant. No Thali platter today. Come here to experiment with some cocktails that you don’t find elsewhere. Biggest disappointment in this restaurant is the menu doesn’t lend itself for a single person meal, so please come with friends. .(Previous review)Hopefully this review will be more “valuable” than the usual sweet words…. I wonder if the restaurant manager and the Kitchen team knows what they are doing. Single piece of tandoori chicken (I think) served in the Thali was fried beyond recognition – uneatable. Old Fashioned (terribly sweet) drink was served in a glass with dried lipstick marks. When notified the waiter, he unapologetically repoured the drink in another glass, to my surprise, he was not phased at the situation- made me wonder if it’s a common occurrence. Don’t get the Indian Chai, although the presentation was good, it’s a milk latte – expected better from this caliber of a restaurant. The other Thali items was served and presented well, actually very well – food taste was excellent. Perhaps I picked a bad day to go there, hopefully the next experience will be better. I will come back and hope to edit this review for the better.

I recently celebrated my birthday here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and professional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel truly special throughout my stay.
A huge shoutout to Greta, the manager – she was absolutely amazing! Her attention to detail, cheerful attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile made everything perfect. She ensured every part of the celebration went smoothly.
The service was exceptional – quick, polite, and always with a smile. Whether it was room service, front desk, or restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly courteous and helpful.
The food was another highlight – the chicken dishes were especially delicious, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The biryani had a more North Indian twist, not Hyderabadi style, but still very tasty and satisfying.
The hotel itself is clean, elegant, and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and taken care of.
Overall, this was a 5-star experience in every way – service, food, ambiance, and hospitality. Highly recommend Hotel Little Rock for any special occasion or even just a peaceful stay!

Absolutely amazing experience! First time eating Indian, along with some friends, and this place did not disappoint. I had the butter chicken, rosemary naan, and our server even gave us a couple of mango lassi to try on the house because we had not had it before! He also made our dessert right in front of us. Would recommend and come again!
