We had a party of 9 at the table and got charged over $30 in automatic gratuity which was insane for the service we received. The food quality was mid at best. Nothing seemed seasoned except for the steak. The cook was not very friendly. And for 9 people, no one got their drinks refilled a single time!!! We couldn’t even ask for refills because the waiter never came around.
I understand automatic gratuity, but hibachi tables are no different than 9 single people at the table. Service did not warrant that kind of gratuity on any level. Would not recommend and would not return.

We came for a birthday party and everyone left full and happy. The habachi chef Hannah was great. Portions are massive so it’s worth the cost. Highly recommend the Columbus Roll .

Honestly it’s one of the worst hibachi places I have personally been to. The atmosphere is nice but it doesn’t feel all the way out together. The service was great. Except the chef got offended when someone asked for him to pull the steak off early. That he has been cooking for 40 years. He knows what he’s doing. Well he overcooked my steak, and I’m not even the person who asked for it to be pulled off! Then the rice was crunchy and tasted burnt. It wasn’t bad by any means. But as far as hibachi experiences. I have had muuuuuuch better.

My husband and I have eaten at Fuji many times and it has always been great. Our most recent experience, however, was far from the normal expectation. The soup and salad were fine. The hibachi meal would have been ok were it not for the cross contamination from the chicken to all the other ingredients. This is unacceptable and should never happen. Although I only ate a few bites after what I witnessed, it was enough to do its damage. Education of proper cooking technique is definitely warranted.

I ordered scallop hibachi from this place about two nights ago online for to go. I hadn’t eaten much the night I ordered it, so like any rational human being, I put it in the fridge intending to eat it later. Tonight, I reheat it while I’m at work and chow down. At this point, I’ve already eaten about half of the portion, and as I’m about to take my next bite, I see something that looks all curled up hidden in the middle of the rice. I picked it up with my fork and it was a literal worm. A dead, huge, grey looking worm in the middle of my food. I’m well aware I ordered seafood and parasites can sometimes cross contaminate, but this is absolutely disgusting. I had been having some stomach issues since the first night I ate this, and I can only presume that this was the reason why. I find it absolutely ridiculous that you’ll make customers pay $25+ for meals, but your staff can’t even make sure the food is up to standard for customers to eat. Rest assured, I definitely will not be coming back here.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants ive ever been too. The food was excellent and not expensive at all. Me and my wife came here for our anniversary dinner, we will definitely be back. 2 main course meals, a sushi roll, appetizer, and 2 alcoholic drinks came out to only $70. One of the chefs even came over and showed me how to do a sake bomb. 100% recommend to anyone looking for great food, service, and atmosphere.

★★★★★ Best Sushi Night in Columbus – Fuji Steakhouse is a Total Winner!
We’ve been on the hunt for great sushi in Columbus, and Fuji Steakhouse just became our undisputed #1. From the moment we walked in, everything clicked: warm greeting, spotless dining room, super attentive staff, and that perfect hibachi energy without feeling rushed.
We came for sushi and left completely blown away. The fish was impeccably fresh; you can taste the quality in every bite. Standouts were the Spicy Tuna Roll (perfect heat and texture; the Rainbow Roll, loaded with generous slices of salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and avocado; and the Fuji Special Roll (shrimp tempura with spicy crab and eel sauce that was downright addictive). Portions are huge for the price, and presentation is gorgeous. Even the ginger and wasabi tasted fresher than most places around town.
We couldn’t resist adding a hibachi filet and shrimp combo to share, and it was cooked to perfection right in front of us: juicy, tender, seasoned just right, with fried rice that’s honestly worth the trip alone. The chef was entertaining without being over-the-top, and made the kids at the next table giggle the whole time.
Service was outstanding; our server kept drinks refilled, checked on us often, and even brought out complimentary miso soup when she noticed it was our first visit. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantityyou easily get Benihana-level food at half an hour closer and for less money.
Whether you’re craving sushi, hibachi, or both, Fuji Steakhouse delivers big time. Clean, friendly, delicious, and consistent. We’re already planning our next visit (and probably the one after that). If you live in Columbus/Phenix City or are just passing through on I-185, do yourself a favor and eat here. Hands down the best Japanese in the area! 5 stars isn’t enough!

My daughter and I attended a birthday dinner for a friend of hers. We were immediately greeted and seated. Our waiter was Isaiah. He was so pleasant and kind. Our party was large but he met that with great patience and even joined in on our antics. The kids loved him and he was very accommodating.

This place is FIRE! Not literally on fire, but you get the idea. We ordered the sushi, and it was incredibly fresh and delicious. I opted for shrimp and chicken with hibachi rice, which was satisfyingly filling and well worth the wait.
The hibachi chef was not only skilled at cooking up amazing food but also kept the conversation lively and entertaining with the customers. It’s a perfect spot for large groups to enjoy a great meal together.
