We came around 7pm for dinner and the dining room was already closed so we had to sit in the bar. There was a wide variety of options and I went with the crispy tacos for “Taco Tuesday”. I chose ground beef and shredded chicken. Both were very good and filling enough without needing sides. Our server was great and took our photo with family we rarely see.

This was my first time coming here! I was craving fried ice cream and the service was horrible. I called to order it and just takes the order takes my name then hangs up. Then when I go to pick up the order they were rude and asked about my order the said ok and didn’t say anything just walk away. then I sat there for 10 mins and nobody came back to tell me about my order. I was going to leave but as I walked to my car I get a text mesas saying my order was done go back in there and again they were rude while I’m paying for my order. Then get home to eat. The fried ice cream with my kids it was so small and gross after taste was like if I ate raw meat. I will never come back to to this place ever again. What a great 1st time experience they need better service skills

From 4 stars my rating dropped to 1 star . Why is that ? Because of the way they handle tips, it’s very bad business practice. I will start with my negative review and then add what I liked. Yet … I keep my 1 star due to the way they handle bills and tips. I went in with my friend and ordered an item from the Happy Hour priced at $10. They brought a bill for both of us , not a separate one although we were paying separately. They did not charge the Happy Hour menu and instead added a random $17. This was noticed upon the review of the recipe and brought to the server attention. We got another revised receipt with all kind of “manager” discount . Whatever … the bill seemed to be right . My friend paid cash including her tip and I asked to be charged $13 including tips ( for the $10 happy hour menu ) on the card . I got the receipt and at the tip I mentioned that it was included in the price. Shortly after I got home I noticed that I was charged an extra .99 cents ! Was this for additional tip or what ? Did they charge my account without my approval? A lot of questions. It’s not worth for me to fight the $1.00, but be careful if you eat here . Check your receipts and make sure you get charged what you’re expecting to pay. The server was a nice girl but man … it took forever for someone to come at the door and greet us although it was not busy and take us to a table. The only thing I liked was the cute place and the food . I got a quesadilla which was a pretty good portion for a happy hour. But seriously! Again ! I am so mad at the way they “steal” from you. Check your order and make sure the total makes sense.

This was possibly the worst service experience I’ve ever had. Despite not being busy at 11:30 on a Saturday morning, we waited over 15 minutes for a table. There was no hostess in sight for about 8-10 of those minutes. When the hostess finally arrived, she said “a table will be ready shortly,” then disappeared for another ~10 minutes. Finally, a second hostess appeared and finally got us seated. Our server, Valerie, also provided poor service and was nowhere to be found for nearly all of our meal. Again, they were not busy. I counted 10 occupied tables and three servers in total working our section.
The restaurant had just opened about an hour prior when we arrived, and there were no clean spoons, so my son was unable to eat his macaroni and cheese. I was told the spoons were “in the dishwasher.” My son’s side was also incorrect, but when addressed, Valerie did fix it for us, which I appreciated. I will definitely not be back. We wasted over an hour of our life just waiting for hostesses and our server for basic requests. Not to mention the food was mediocre at best. Both the chips and french fries (my son’s side) were completely bland and flavorless.

I have been eating at Macayos since the early 1980s, but no more! Their food quality has declined, but the service and value are in the toilet! They ALWAYS forget one or more items in our pickup orders. And now, they give you a child size baggie of chips when you do takeout, despite the fact that you get unlimited free chips and salsa if you dine in! They save a lot on labor costs for takeout, but they give you less! I won’t patronize this business again!

I went in late afternoon. The senior menu was great – I chose a Relleno (my favorite) and burrito plate. Service was great and prompt. Meal was excellent, cheese stuffing perfect. My glass was kept full. I highly recommend to my fellow seniors!

We had an early dinner here on NYE, food was delicious. Love the atmosphere. I hope they weren’t too upset when we chatted at the table with our friends after we ate for an extra 30 mins. We left by 7 and they closed at 8 for the holiday.

We had the most awful experience tonight. We sat down in the bar area and waited 20 min before anyone came to serve us. We probably should have left then. Once we had our order taken drinks took another 10 min. We were served with no plates or silverware and never checked in on during our meal. Anytime we needed anything we had to get up to go get it. We ordered dessert with a full table of empty dishes. It was a horrible experience for celebrating a special occasion.

Everything here was delicious. Margaritas were good, lots of flavors to choose from. They did not have Queso. Steak in the salad was seasoned well. Corn had a tiny kick to it. That’s coming from someone who can’t handle spicy. I will for sure return here. Staff was Awesome.

I was there tonight with by 3 boys after having a super long day with work and appointments. Restaurant was not too crazy busy but i did notice only one waiter. Food took a while longer than usual but it was delicious.
Leo! U have such great customer service. I saw you rushing to get plates and drinks to every table constantly checking up to see if anyone needed anything! Kudos to you for being such a great character even when working under pressure and on your own from what was seen!
