I was visiting the Monticello area for the weekend. Drove by and was drawn by the Puerto Rican and Dominican flags both on their marquee, so we stopped in for breakfast. I am Dominican and my wife is Puerto Rican, we had their Tres Golpes, and it brought me right back home to the time I would have all of this delicious Dominican food as a kid. Also brought home some of their home-made pasteles for dinner, and oh my goodness!! Now I am mad I did not buy more.
This is the perfect spot for you Dominican/Puerto Rican parents who live in the area and wan to give your family an authentic taste from home. And perfect for anyone from anywhere that loves Latin food as Dominicans and Puerto Ricans do!! And the price is very reasonable.
Check them out for yourselves. You will not be disappointed!!

It used to be a great place to it. Not anymore under the new owners. The guy owner doesn’t know what he’s doing. The price went up and food quality went down. Avoid this place it’s not the same anymore. Just go to nellys

My first time at this restaurant, ordered the traditional “Dominican breakfast” mashed green plantain, with red onions, fried cheese, fried salami and fried eggs. The plantains were semi sweet and the onions were sweet as well. The eggs were over dried and the cheese tasted old. The place is clean and perhaps next time, the experience is different
I will try one more time another dish and update.

Paid 17 dollars for 4 pieces of oxtail & rice so salty that will make you throw up if you took a bite. Couldn’t even finish anything unfortunately.

If you’re craving authentic Dominican flavors, El Concón is the place to go! The food here is absolutely amazing—delicious, generous portions, and so close to what you’d get in the Dominican Republic. Whether you dine in or take out, the quality is consistently excellent.
Though the restaurant is small, don’t be intimidated by a line—it moves quickly, and the wait is worth it. Their desserts are delightful, and the freshness of the food at any time of day is impressive.
A recent highlight is their new addition of wings, which are hands down the best in the area. I really hope they stay on the menu because they’re a must-try!
On top of everything, the prices are unbeatable. For such high-quality food, it feels like a steal. Parking is convenient too, with a few spots out front and plenty more in the back.
El Concón has definitely become one of my favorite spots—highly recommend it!
