A restaurant worth trying. We walked here after a wonderful show at the DSO. We were seated right away even though our reservation was about 40 minutes later. First impression was comforting. The service was impeccable, and the food was unlike anywhere else. We started with a mozz & sweet cream that came with some delicious homemade olive sourdough along with a “Hike through the Dolomites” cocktail.. so tasty! We also tried the little gem salad and Ive never tasted a better salad. We then all ordered a main dish. The butternut squash agnolotti, smoked duck, ribeye, and the shoots pizza. All were delicious and worth every penny. Recommend you try this place. The atmosphere is very comforting as well.

This place is absolutely incredible! The waitress was so nice and helped us pick our meals and made our anniversary a blast. We tried the Branzino which was great. The chicken was so good it has honey and olives. They brought out some potatoes as a side which were great. Wine selection and drink menu was perfect. We had such a good time we came back 2 days later and tried the pizza. Definitely recommend the Shroom!

Wow what an amazing experience!! My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and they made it so special. From the greetings and conversation with both hostesses when we first walked in, to our amazing server Keli who answered all of our questions and made our night one to remember! She was so accommodating and even helped us pick out the most delicious wine pairing. This place needs to be on your next dinner list. Thank you so much for the hospitality Mad Nice, it was so amazing!

When I think about an aesthetically pleasing and culinary rich dining experience, Mad Nice hits all the details of a beautiful restaurant experience in the heart of mid-town! Whether you enjoy a delicious craft cocktail and Neapolitan-style pizza before a game or concert at LCA, or indulge in a more formal plate, you are immersed in a cultural blend of Italian flavors, glowing California vibes, and Detroit soul!
For dinner we shared the rigatoni ragout and margherita pizza. The ragout was OUT of this world, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite- MAD GOOD sauce! The pizza was tasty and I enjoyed the sauce. We both felt it was a tad salty but appreciated the puffy dough edges and thin, crispy center that held the toppings. I loved the old-school touch of sheers to cut your slices how you like!
We couldn’t decide on just one dessert so we got 2! The chocolate cake was good, but the gelato tower can’t be beat! YES, it’s a tower and meant for sharing, but their creamy, luxurious gelato is made from a machine imported from Italy, topped with candied pistachios and shaved chocolate and a decadent treat.
Emily took wonderful care of us throughout the whole experience. She was the perfect balance of welcoming and helpful with menu suggestions and you could feel her passion for her workplace.
This was a very anticipated spot on my list and I leave this review salivating over the rigatoni ragout and the gelato tower. I cannot wait to return!

Mad Nice is a standout in Detroit. Beautiful interior, great vibe, and excellent food.
We had the octopus, gem salad, Guanciale pizza, and duck pastrami cavatelli, and everything was delicious. The pizza had a perfect balance of savory and nutty flavors with a light, crispy crust, and the duck pasta was rich and satisfying.
They also have a coffee shop and a private dining room, which makes the space incredibly versatile — perfect for anything from a casual coffee to a group celebration. Friendly service and a memorable experience overall. Highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised with my experience here. Our bartender/server Dallas made the experience awesome and gave us good recommendations for cocktails. We had the agnolotti and the pizza. For drinks we chose the two tequila drinks available. I would come here again just for the drinks and agnolotti they were phenomenal. We ended the night with a cinnamon flavor cannoli. One of my favorite cannolis I have had in Detroit. They rotate their cannoli flavors all the time so I am excited to go back to try another. Ambiance is 10/10

Just like its name, this place IS Mad Nice. It was my first time visiting and I will be back! The menu was fantastic, the servers were great regarding allergies and modifications, and the company I was with was pretty cool too.
We started with oysters, beef tartare, and a few beverages before we moved onto our main courses.
Highly recommend getting reservations. Especially, on weekends. The side room doubles as an event space and worth checking out if you’re looking for a place to host your family, friends, or celebrate.

The service was excellent! Our server was attentive. He treated both my son and nephew with mutual respect and kindness. My nephew has autism and often asks serval questions. Our server was sincerely engaged and helped make my nephew’s experience special, particularly when the chocolate cake arrived. Food the was outstanding. We ordered duck breast with mushroom risotto and the sausage & olive pizza. Madnice thank you for providing an inclusive and amazing experience. I will recommend to family and friends!
