Excellent dinner. Gerardo our server recommendations were spot on. The El Commal was delicious and the Combo burrito and enchilada was really good. Flan Dessert was a great meal ender. Sorry no photo, looking forward to our next meal there.

I’m never in the area, but I was craving Mexican food and this was the first place that popped up. First impressions are important to me and they made a great first impression. Walking in felt like an experience in and of itself. Everything from the music to the art on the walls was exactly what I was wanting. I was here on a Sunday evening and it was not very busy at all. The service was good and fast; they got our drinks out and our orders in within 5 minutes of being sat! For food, I got the barbacoa and my husband had the cheese enchilada and beef burrito combo. We also had the Guacamole for an appetizer. The guacamole was delicious; tasted fresh well seasoned. They add plenty of lime in it, which I love! I do wish the portion was a bit larger, but it was still a good amount. The Barbacoa was very well cooked and seasoned. The beef was very tender! The enchilada and burrito combo was delicious as well. Overall great place to come for dinner!

My husband and I were traveling home and stumbled upon this gem. We arrived on a Sunday so only the buffet was available but we decided to try it out and we are so glad we did. There was a taco bar, menudo, albondigas,shrimp ceviche, fish ceviche, fresh chips/salsa, pozole, omelet bar, dessert station, horchata, Jamaica, and so much more to name. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Well worth 5 stars plus. Our waiter Jerry was so attentive to our needs. We will recommend this place to all of our family and friends and we will mark this spot so we can stop by again anytime we are traveling through El Cajon. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

We love it here. We are a large family and are always welcome and accommodated here. We have had a party for 25 people to celebrate my mother’s 85th birthday and we even brought a mariachi band to play for her. The service is great and the atmosphere is family and friendly. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. This is our go to spot.

Food was good just somethings needed more Salt. Atmosphere was wonderful. Was a little crowded but it was a Friday and servers were overwhelmed. Overall the service was ok. The Sampler platter was amazing and worth the price. Update went back again on a Friday got sitted right away and the food was amazing and service was very quick despite being crowded.

On our visit on January 4th, we were greeted by the lingering Christmas decorations, and I must say, it was a delightful surprise. The festive decor was so well-executed that you could tell professional decorators had crafted the enchanting ambiance. We were seated on the second floor in a comfortable booth, enhancing our overall dining experience.
We started with 2 hazy IPAs, a Sample Platter for an appetizer, and two entrees – the Chimichanga and Fajitas with beef. Every dish was a flavor explosion! From the appetizer to the main courses, we couldn’t help but savor every bite. The service was equally commendable, adding to the overall positive impression.
This place unquestionably deserves a solid 5 stars! I will definitely return when I’m in the area, and I’m confident my friend will become a regular customer too. In fact, you’ve gained five new constant customers – a family of five. Thank you for providing such a fantastic dining experience!

Probably the best table-service Mexican restaurant in East County.
I was there on a not-so-busy Monday for lunch. Lack of many customers was probably due to the parking lot being resurfaced and the two main entrances were blocked off. Fresh hot tasty home made chips and salsa were brought as soon as I sat. Iced tea tasted like fresh-brewed, not mix from a can. I ordered a chile relleno and beef enchilada combo. The relleno was really good, with a mole style sauce, just at the spicy tolerance level for this gringo. Enchilada was made with shredded, not ground, beef. Spanish rice included bits of carrot and a few peas, and was quite good. Refried beans have a smokey heaviness that was unexpectedly good. Waiter saw my tea was getting low and asked me if I wanted a refill. Real Mexican music was pleasant and the right volume. Very busy colorful decor with some original mural artwork. Will definitely return for another meal.

Not crowded on this Sunday evening. Excellent food, great presentation with fast and friendly service. And great cocktails all with a very reasonable price. Oh and seating on the patio had a very authentic atmosphere. Definately worth repeating.
