Great happy hour! One of the best in the area, good selection of food and the pizza you get for 11 bucks is enough for two people and taste amazing, I like it better than toppers. Happy hour is also everyday!!! 3-6 and Saturday and Sunday also from 9 to 11.

The food was very good. The mozzarella cheese was so fresh and tasty! We had a large party of 9. There was a bit of a delay with the food all coming out together, but it was only a few minutes. The waitress was very nice and helpful. They had outdoor seating in the front and the back along the water. We will be back.

Well… Let me start with the atmosphere, the lighting was super bright and not inviting at all, I think it could benefit to dim the lighting and give it that true intimate dining experience. Food was okay, not worth the money. Some dishes lacked flavor and the strawberry lemonade had the weirdest taste. The service was not the best, not friendly or welcoming, no one smiles at you unless you are a regular.

The sign of a great restaurant is not the same old thing. Their croutons were soft pillows not hard stale bread. Pizza crust was soft more like a biscuit than a stiff cardboard. The sauce was flavorful and lightly spiced not laden with garlic. Great service with food and drinks top shelf.

Came for valentine’s day special which was 4 course meal our waitress said it taking like 30-40 minutes for food so we should order the first two courses. This is our first conversation by the way and we obliged it came out about 10 minutes later all at once.

I found a TON of mold in the parmesan cheese. I watched a cook come out of the stall in the bathroom and wash his hands without soap. Felt really disgusted – wouldn’t recommend.

A wonderful Italian restaurant. Delicious bread delivered toasted with oil and vinegar at the table. We had the cheese wheel fettuccine. Made table side. I recommend adding a meat. Definitely will come back.

Me and my family tried Portola for the first time and wow, it was amazing. I went with the Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti and it was a solid 10/10 for me. My wife went with the Wheel Cheese Pasta and that was a solid choice as well. Service was great. We reserved a table and it was ready as soon as we got in and out waitress checked on us frequently.

I’m excited for our next visit.

We went to eat and everything was excellent. The food arrived quickly and with a very good flavor. The place is clean and the atmosphere is nice.

Our waitress Mayra was incredible: very attentive, patient and always attentive to us. You can tell when someone enjoys their work.

100% recommended, we will definitely be back.

Can’t recommend Portola highly enough. It was, quite honestly, the best restaurant experience we have ever had.

We recently hosted a wedding reception for close to 100 people. The GM Roman and his staff were absolutely amazing. They went out of their way to make our event a success; helping with table decoration and planning before the event, being in constant communication with us via text in the months, weeks, and days leading up to the event to ensure we had answers we needed promptly, and putting out huge effort to make sure our beloved friends and family were taken care of during the event. I can’t recommend their work highly enough. I felt as though we hosted at 11 Madison Park for the bespoke service and care they provided.

Portola prepared and served a three course dinner with excellence, consistency, and speed to all of our 92 guests. Everyone was raving about how they loved the experience and the food was amazing. It is hard to offer consistency and quality to 92 people throughout a three hour event but so many of our guests went away happy. Meals came out exactly on schedule (appetizer, dinner, dessert)

The menu is elevated Italian, but not stuffy. They use quality fresh ingredients, everything was plated nicely, and they make great drinks. What restaurant boast that they can cook a great 12oz steak and serve delicious Chicken Parmigiana at the same time? Portola executes this with perfection in mind.

They are not only great for large events, but the brunch and happy hour is probably one of the best deals in town, not only for the price but also the quality of food and drink and gorgeous location. (See pics)

Portola will forever have our hearts. Thank you Roman and your entire team for making our special night so perfect.

Today was an awesome day. While visiting our friend Rebecca who took us on a mini tour of Oxnard she took us to a varieties of restaurant. We chose Portola. Thank goodness. Not only was the food awesome. Fernando’s suggestion was my choice ( spaghetti and meatballs consisting of a meal cooked in olive oil with homemade grounded meatballs, tomatoes, garlic and angel hair pasta). Ask for Fernando who is awesome and Jasmine also a top waitress in her own right. The ambiance, the view, the good, the wine. Excellente!
