I’ve found it. The best way to blow through a paycheck over a single breakfast. Espresso and a pastry for $15…. But, somehow, I think I’ll be coming back. Love the communal atmosphere with great big heavy wooden tables and chairs. A number of 4 and 6 tops as well. Bright and airy open feel make this a lovely warm atmosphere to share a delicious espresso and pastry. Espresso was quite tasty but unfortunately served in a tiny paper cup – I guess I should have specified I was eating in. Nice nuttiness and a subtle bitterness and right up my alley. There were so many amazing looking pastries on display i really struggled to decide how to put back on all of the calories I just lost on my Peloton but eventually landed on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Croissant. And – holy smokes – it did not disappoint. The thing must weigh 8 ounces due to it being stuffed with chocolate chip cookie dough and a plethora of incredibly delicious molten chocolate. Incredibly naughty and delicious. Great spot to stop in for a pastry but they also have a larger menu with salads and breakfast specialties in addition to their lovely baked goods. Unreal!!

I’m not sure if the issue was a lack of training or something deeper, but the experience was uncomfortable. The staff gave me a latte while claiming it was an Americano, and when I asked for clarification, they just stared at me blankly as if I had said something wrong. On top of that, we were the only ones who didn’t have our coffee and food brought to the table or even get our order called out. It felt especially discouraging since we were also the only Asian customers there.

Very yummy meal! Everything tasted delicious and very fresh. Decent prices, even though portions are not huge they are very filling. Loved the lemonade. Quick service. Good vegan/vegetarian options. I’ll even tell you a secret—we ate right before closing and the person working the bakery was so kind as to give everyone I was dining with a free pastry! Would certainly eat here again.

Charging $13 for a $1 waffles (individually wrapped found in most of the Whole Foods) with 1 strawberry and 3-4 blueberries, not ok

The place is okay. For the kind of food, its definetly not worth the price. The food is kinda bland. We were extremely hungry when we went there and were disappointed with the food.
The crispy quinoa cake was not bad though but definetly needed more flavour. Definetly regretted ordering the avocado tomato omelette, it was extremely bland.
The carrot cake was okay.
The ambience is decent and staff are friendly and courteous but definitely not worth the price even if it’s a ‘high end neighborhood’.

The food was great and the staff was pleasant and helpful.
We loved the mini pancakes!

I’ve seen this place go through highs and lows over the years. It’s always a solid spot for a quick bite though. Maybe not on weekends when it can be a bit crazy. The current staff is friendly. Definitely miss Sean though.

I can only rate based on one item which is a cortado. I was happy to see a manual espresso machine but there was no menu option for ordering and the barista did not know the drink.

New Canaan Le pain Quotidien, worst experience ever. I used to be habitual client there for a year and I order always a Belgian moka which they always bring it hot. Today a new waitress (the rotation of staff is insane) brought a cold beverage and when I explained that it should be hot she said I was wrong, there was other personnel there but nobody help me. Last week we we also ate a salad and there was a piece of plastic on it, they apollogized and offered a croissant for the error. We told them they need to be careful that’s all.
