We found this café while visiting New York and stopped by twice during our trip. The food is truly delicious. I had empanadas de carne with café con leche, and my son ordered a Cuban panini that quickly became his favorite. Everything was fresh and well prepared.
The vibe of the place is cozy and relaxed. That said, the service on our second visit wasn’t as warm. The staff member who helped us had a noticeably cold demeanor, not rude, but definitely not inviting. It shifted the energy a bit. Based on her service, I’d give that part three stars.
We won’t be back, as we’re just visiting, but the food is definitely worth trying if you’re in the area.

Great place. I went to try it with my friend for the first time and we had to go back the following weekend. It has become our brunch favorite spot. ♀️ It’s a chic, modern and comfortable place to just sit, relax and unwind. It’s a bit small and seems very popular so it could be crowded and your food might take a bit long but it’s totally worth it. Super affordable and a great time. Would definitely visit again soon.

My go to place to eat and have coffee or iced coffee. Staff move like perfomers never rushing but get your order done fast. If you order from kitchen, have a seat and staff will bring your order. Or tell them “To Go” Spanish is their main greeting but all speak English. Again when they speak Spanish it is so musical and heart felt. They also treat everyone with kindness but elderly and handicapable get extra love and patients. NO WONDER PEOPLE LINE UP FOR THESE PASTRIES AND OTHER GOODIES

I would rate this place a little higher if they lowered the sweetness in their desserts. For starters, the individual slices are pretty huge for one. We got the tres leches, chocolate mousse cake and the the fresh strawberry shortcake and neither of us were able to finish what we ordered. Also got the cafe con leches, iced and hot version. They’ve got plenty of seating and the cafe staff and the overall vibe is pretty chill. Brownie points however for being super affordable, like you can get a dessert + coffee for under $10 which is rare in the city these days.

I have been here many times for coffee or breakfast. My favorite is the Club Med Avocado Toast over Multigrain toast topped with an egg. Healthy and delicious. The place is always kept very clean. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. Overall great service and nice neighborhood coffee place to go to and also has a great vibe. Once inside you feel it’s a local neighborhood favorite spot. They offer a variety of baked goods and birthday cakes as well. Street parking only and it’s located in Union City NJ one the most diverse and dense cities in the country.
