Just bad all the way around. Super slow. And they laugh at you in the back. Maybe show some respect to the customer. I understand Spanish too. Also the 2 owners are making way too much now 5$ a burrito they used to be 2$ over doubled in the last 10 years and they’re smaller. I’m done with this company.

We’ve eaten at Santiago’s for more than a decade. Initially on Leetsdale in Denver, and since we’ve moved, at the three locations in Thornton.
Tonight we ate at the 84th Avenue location, because the one on 120th has been closed for a few months. I had the usual enchilada dinner plate with half & half green chili. The plate includes rice and beans.
partially through my meal, I realized they made the plate with plain enchilada sauce. I pointed this out to our waitress, and she offered to make another plate, but without the beans and rice, since I had already eaten most of those.
I then suggested that they remove the entire plate from the ticket. She said she would still need to charge me for the rice and beans.
She then apparently called the ‘manager’ on her phone, and said that I would need to pay for the entire meal.
This experience seems so counter to a reasonable resolution for an oversight in the choice of sauce the preparer made.
The woman then said that if I left without paying they would call the police, and that she already wrote down my tag numbers. Very obtuse experience.
I finally suggested that they remove the price of the plate, and I will gladly pay the balance… otherwise, I would pay for everything, and then contest the charge via my credit card provider, and they would likely reverse the total charge.
That’s the option they chose.

Ordered 2 bean and cheese burritos with half & half and it was good for the first half of the burrito! After the first half there’s no chili or cheese lol. We also ordered a breakfast burrito half and half and I was just not that great :/ very salty and did not have any chili inside of it! Probably should just stick to going to another santiagos considering the rest of the reviews say the manager here is rude and doesn’t make things right :/

ordered a deluxe burrito from the location on 84th and have never had issues. Today I didn’t receive what I paid for. Such a disappointment to order food and pay the extra cost associated with what you order to receive something that should have cost less. They make such a huge deal when people expect lettuce, tomato, cheese but don’t pay for deluxe, that’s valid but what about when the customer pays and receives at best a very small smothered burrito. Not even hot chile. Won’t be ordering from here again. 10 dollars for a burrito that is the smallest I’ve ever seen from this place. The fries too, such a small portion that doesn’t even cover the base of the box. I get I placed my order 30 minutes prior to close but that shouldn’t affect quality.

Our daughter traveled out of state for Thanksgiving and wanted to take home Santiago burritos. The one on 84th was the most convenient. So that Saturday we ordered over 20 different burritos on line, all were to have cheese and chili. NONE did. The beef and bean were so dry and disgusting , tasted like left over reheated beef. The bean and cheese were dry and no flavor, of course because no chili or
Cheese inside as well. The breakfast ones I understand were ok. We never go to this Santiago on 84th and had not since a bad experience in 2005. VERY Disappointing and expensive loss. I guess we need to stick with the longer drives and go to the Santiago’s up north from now on.

Love Santiago’s and this is our favorite location! We order food to go about once a week. We get food for 6 adults and they get it all correct every time.
If you’ve never had any Santiago’s before – go now! Best green chili anywhere and everything is so good. My favorites are the Indian taco, crispy rellenos, chili fries, and enchiladas.

I got a hot smothered burrito. It was good but I would have loved the chile to have been hotter. No real complaints. Santiago’s is still top tier.

I wish I could give this a better review, but I cannot. Santiago’s has been a household name in Denver for a while, and I have to wonder why. The food was okay, nothing special. The staff was rude and barely acknowledged my existence. Then, when I asked that the music be turned down, I was served a fresh dose of attitude. Sorry, I don’t want to listen to your Bluetooth speaker blaring the SAME SONG OVER AND OVER. After the sixth time of hearing your favorite song (in a row), I couldn’t handle it any more. I will be avoiding this place in the future.
