Social Profile:

Coco’s Italian Market is your local slice of Italy—family-owned, full of charm, and packed with authentic flavors. Our family comes from the Campania and Lazio regions between Naples and Rome, where hearty pasta dishes, fresh herbs from the garden, olives, thick-crusted bread, and homemade wine were part of everyday life. At Coco’s, we bring those same traditions to Nashville with homemade pasta, brick oven pizza, imported Italian goods, and seasonal favorites like holiday breads and rice pies—because for us, it’s more than a meal, it’s a way of life.

Casual pizza & pasta restaurant with a small grocery selling imported foodstuffs & prepared meals.

Wow! This place is definitely a hidden gem. We were quickly greeted by super friendly staff and seated right away (late lunch). Our waiter took our order and our food was served fresh and hot. Boy oh boy talk about authentic Italian! We had the Lasagna Bolognese, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and chicken Parmesan. Chefs kiss. Then came dessert. I consume a lot of cheesecake and this was by far THE BEST slice of cheesecake I have ever had the please of eating. I can’t wait to go and recommend this place to all of my family and friends!

We picked up some frozen pasta to take home and it was fine, nothing specific really stood out. We also dined in and felt the same about the food overall. It was okay, but nothing especially memorable. That said, the cannoli was really good and definitely the highlight of the experience.

Coming from NY, I felt like I was in an “Italian food desert” until I came here. Coco’s is, by far, the best Italian food I’ve had since moving here. I know taste is personal, but in my opinion this food was outrageously good. The service was impeccable and the prices were reasonable. If you like neighborhood style eating for Italian fare, come here. You will NOT regret it.
We enjoyed a bottle of Montepulciano, Chicken Parm, Cheese Manicotti, Fried Ravioli, Canoli and the Lemon Cake dessert. Literally everything was fantastic.

Went there for a Sunday night dinner with a big family group. We were so happy to be able to just call in a reservation for our party of 10. Casual friendly atmosphere. Amazing food- kids adored the kids linguine with giant meatball, and the pastas were super fresh. Don’t skip the cheesecake for dessert – other reviews were right- it’s fluffy and delicious- some of the best I’ve ever had.

I was excited to try this place based off a glowing recommendation and was surprised at how disappointed I was. I’ll start with the bruschetta – this was good except for the cheese on it. I’ve had bruschetta so many times, at so many places – I’ve never heard of cheese going on it and it was odd taste wise. It would have been amazing without the cheese. I ordered a white pizza and it was indescribably bland. I added everything on the tablet to make it edible – salt, red pepper fakes and Parmesan. My son ordered Alfredo. It again was horribly bland. I make from scratch Alfredo and mine is wayyy better. Theirs tasted like noodles with softened cream cheese and not one seasoning. The chicken parm was okay. The chicken was okay, but the noodles (well, the sauce) again was just no flavor. Two things that were EXCELLENT – the roasted veggies that came on the side and the lemon blueberry cake! The service was very slow and they weren’t busy and we had to track down the waitress a couple times which isn’t something we ever do. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend or try this place again though.

I had a delicious chicken cutlet over fettuccini Alfredo that was spectacular at Coco’s Italian Market. The bruschetta came on a piece of garlic toast that was cooked to perfection. It was highly recommended – and well worth it. The lasagna was really good – it came in a boat and was packed full with flavor. The ravioli fungi was also really great and one of the most popular dishes on the menu for a good reason. Highly recommended the tiramisu for dessert as well as the cannolis. The vibe of the restaurant was so old school, it felt nostalgic. It’s a hidden gem and old Nashville staple that you shouldn’t overlook. Service was efficient but the server didn’t want to converse or provide recommendations. Our meal was reasonably priced as well. My only regrets were not trying the tortellini or buying premade pastas to go to eat later this week from the market.

Probably the worst culinary experience my family has had since moving to Nashville. The food was sub par as was the service. My daughter’s frozen pizza was delivered raw. Who provides frozen pizza at an Italian restaurant! If I wanted frozen pizza I would have purchased one at the supermarket. My father-in-law ordered the salmon Alfredo. He ate the fish and left the tasteless pasta. My wife ordered the tortellini which was just OK. My own pasta dish was also just OK. I waited 20 minutes for my beer to arrive. Being from NY we have high standards around Italian food. We found some great ones in the Nashville area. This place is not one of them, unfortunately.

Really solid Italian spot that feels sort of like an Italian dive bar. A locals only spot and that’s a great thing! Attached to a grocer store that had a great selection as well, the food here is great. Feels like homemade Italian in the best way. Nothing super fancy, nothing crazy, just good Italian food! Also have a cool patio space that is enclosed but very outdoorsy feeling!

I really like this place and authentic Italian food and atmosphere. The chicken parmesan is my go to. I have tried the egg plant parmesan as well and also good, however I enjoy the texture of the crispy chicken in the chicken parmesan. The food is good, everyone at the table enjoyed what they ordered. I have ordered cheesecake to go. It is huge and takes awhile to eat it, also delicious. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the dining room is a bit small for lunch time and I usually like a booth to sit at. The dining area consists of tables and chairs. Usually there is only one waiter in that dining room. I will say though the waiter is normally efficient and working quickly to care for the lunch crowd. We have been able to get in and out on a lunch hour, but it does get a little busy at lunch time. I have never been there for the dinner experience. I have been there with lunch groups as well as dined alone in this restaurant. They have a market where you can purchase ingredients or take home restaurant dishes already prepared. I like this option if you need to stop in and grab something to heat up at home. I have only eaten food prepared fresh at the restaurant. There is normally running a video of Italian landscape and travels running in the background. I noticed travel information available there, but I have yet to inquire as I have already been to Italy a couple of times. If you are looking for some authentic Italian, and consistently good food, I would recommend this place. If someone suggests Italian, this restaurant always comes to mind. As Nashville grows and there are more places I dine at that require paying for parking, I will always appreciate these places that have their own free parking. There is free parking in front and at the side of the restaurant. I have certainly been a repeat customer and plan to visit again! Definitely give the Chicken parmesan a go.

Pretty disappointing Italian restaurant! Not sure where all the great reviews come from.. when we first came in the door we we thought oh this looks promising, but then we stood at the wait to be seated sign for probably 15 minutes before somebody came up to us. We sat down finally and placed our order. We were looking forward to the food and that’s where things went completely down hill. The presentation of the food was ok, but the food has zero taste, it was very bland.
Very far from authentic Italian food, trust me I know well I’m married to an Italian born and raised in Italy.
What’s up with that bread?
At least serve it with balsamic vinegar and olive oil!
