Istanbul Mediterranean Grill & Market is an absolute gem! The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell everything is made with care and authenticity. Every bite was outstanding.
The service was just as impressive. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. They truly make you feel like a valued guest.
The atmosphere is awesome — warm, inviting, and full of character. On top of that, they even have a small grocery market inside with Middle Eastern and Turkish treats and specialty items, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s such a cool bonus to grab authentic ingredients and snacks while you’re there.
Five stars isn’t enough for this place. We’ll definitely be back!

Found this spot because of Tampa Bites & Sites on TikTok and it 100% lived up to the hype. Istanbul Mediterranean Grill & Market has some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in Tampa — juicy grilled meats, fresh bread, amazing hummus, and legit Turkish flavors all around. The portions are big, the spices are on point, and the vibe feels authentic, not generic. Plus the little market inside is a nice touch. If you’re looking for real Mediterranean food, this place is a must.

Warmly greeted at the door, the restaurant shines with cleanliness and incredible flavors. My husband’s lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender, the warm fresh pita bread and melt-in-your-mouth rice were outstanding, and please don’t pass up the pan fried liver served with onions, and tomatoes yummy! The pistachio baklava sealed the deal, absolutely delicious! Bravo Instanbul Mediterranean, so glad we live nearby and can come back anytime!

Best Middle Eastern restaurant in Tampa. The meats are cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spice. The bread is fresh oven baked and comes to the table hot. All the appetizers and desserts are amazing. Rice pudding and the hummus are two standouts. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food came out fast and clearly made to order. Have been here several times and definitely coming back!

D-elicious! This was my first time here. They did not disappoint! They definitely cook with love. Their staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered to-go. They offered me tea while I waited. They have a lovely market with all kinds of Mediterranean goodies, spices, beautiful chandelier lights. The drive home was torture it smelled so good. Unveiling the togo boxes to meet the smell face to face was heavenly. Delicious meats fresh veggies and fresh baked bread and baklava.. 10 out of 10! They on the pricier side but that is because their quality of their ingredients are top notch. I will definitely be back to treat my family again.

Food was pretty good though.
That little man who served us was a little too annoying trying to upsell (little man says they don’t have tap water you’re not Michelin Star or anything) yet not accommodating any requests (we asked for a mixed grill with everything which he couldn’t do, or maybe didn’t want to do, although that is norm in Turkey). I still gave him a good tip (which he definitely didn’t deserve, really). Not very happy with service, but the food was delicious, so take out is the way to do it here if we ever go back.

Excellent after 3 years upon our return to the area.
Host was hospitable and very accommodating. We chose to sit outside this time, being that it was a cooler day in Florida. We ordered the mixed grill as before and Turkish coffee with Kunefa. Kibbeh was an addition for our meal. Coffee came with a complementary chocolate spoons, which were edible and very delicious.. the bread that came with the mixed grill was warm and amazingly delicious. We could not ask for anything more from this meal except a bigger appetite. The portions had enough food to take home and have another meal for later. We will definitely try to return again if we’re ever in the area knowing that the food is consistent and the service is excellent. Thank you again.

Cemil give us the best service we’ve ever had. Food was delicious 10 out of 10. I’d recommend coming here. The service was definitely the best thing here though. What a great job. Everybody was talking about the food. Everything was delicious. The chicken, the Gyro, the lamb the rice everything was a 10 out of 10. they even have a market with a whole bunch of delicious treats

We actually discovered this place on TikTok and were so eager to visit that we came all the way from Kentucky — straight from the airport! Every bite was absolutely worth it. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic and delicious, and the customer service is outstanding.
A special shoutout to Jamil (spelled C-A-M-I-L) — he truly made our visit memorable with his excellent recommendations, customer service and great sense of humor. We had a wonderful late dinner and were amazed by everything — from the taste to the portions to the warm hospitality.
10 out of 10 all around — food, service, and experience! Highly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Mediterranean-Turkish cuisine.
