Passing through Hawthorne and needed a bite. I had a salad with shrimp and avocado which was decent. My Hubbie got a burger and said it was good. My ain’t ordered chicken strips and said they were over fried, but not bad. The best part was the artichoke dip appetizer. It was spot on.
There was pool tables, food all and darts. They also had clean restrooms. We would stop again.

This was a great place to stop for food on our roadtrip! Brittney was our server and was super nice. Their kitchen is open so you can see them cook your meals and they were fast getting our food to us. We didn’t dine in because we had our dogs which was fine because they had a small dining area outside. Bathrooms are super clean! On top of all that, the food is awesome. I recommend getting the onion rings!

Best place in town. Jessie was amazing!! It is smoke free and has a jukebox you can hook up to and play music. Drinks were delicious and food even better. Do yourself a favor..Do not go to El Capitan..Please come here.

Excellent stop on our road trip. We lucked out stopping for lunch on friday. The special was an amazing tri tip sandwich. The bartender who was very nice recommended the pacific cobb. A unique fantastic choice with grilled shrimp. The place gets an A++

Service was a little slow due to one person, but the food was quite good. My primary plus for Joe’s Tavern was it was a quiet place to sit down and eat that was not a casino or McDonalds. No ding ding ding!

The selection and the atmosphere don’t get much better in this little town. The wait might be a little longer, but there’s lots of games to play in the meantime. The staff is wonderful and the beer is cold.

Nice selection of beers. Had the beef salad and it was pretty good. I ordered cheese sticks that never came. UPDATE: Came again to Joe’s, they immediately gave a sincere apology for my cheese sticks (no worries though). Had the wings naked with sauce on the side (Nitro and Sirachayaki) and they were pretty good.

Bill the cook here does a great job. He makes the best clam chowder in town. Nice folks here. They greet you as you come in . I’m here for prime rib.the cook actually listens and gives you med. well.
